Acts of Magic - An interactive paper cutout installation from my solo exhibition Acts of Magic, at the Petach Tikva Museum of Art מוזיאון פתח תקוה לאמנות), 2023. Curated and designed by A.J. Weissbard.

The installation was built around a column in the middle of a dark room. The viewers were offered flashlights and could discover the paper figures and play with the shadows they cast, to the sounds of music composed especially by Daniel Shemer.

אמניות ויוצרים - בואו לשחק, להתנסות, לקבל השראה ולהיכנס למרחב יצירתי. בסדנה נעבוד עם חומרים מודפסים (מגזינים, ספרים, צילומים וכו׳), ועם מצלמת הסמארטפון ככלי עבודה מרכזי - ניצור קולאז׳ים ונטייל בתוכם עם מצלמה, נבנה סט תלת מימדי ממגזרות נייר, נלמד דרכים ליצור תנועה ולהפיח בו חיים, נוסיף מוזיקה ו/או טקסטים וניצור סרטונים קצרים.

If something is close by (kaROV) - it’s good (Tov)
kaROV ze TOV!

If something is far away (Ra-chock), it’s bad (Ra)
Ra-chock ze RA!⠀⠀⠀⠀

kaROV = Close = קרוב
RA-chok = Far = רחוק
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
