Count that day lost? We say "nay"! 🚫
Sometimes progress can take months or years, but this time, it was a matter of minutes.
When students from Micki Zaritsky's class got an oral exercise about the wonderful poem "Count that day lost" by George Eliot, two of them had a rough start. However, after practicing with our virtual humans - on their own terms, with no external pressure, no classroom anxiety - you can see their improvement, as their grades skyrocketed with every try. 🤗
We're so proud of them!

Self-regulated learning skills - or "learning how to learn" - became crucial in the era of hybrid education. However, most students were never taught how to manage their online learning properly.
Beyond Virtual found a way to have a real impact on that: using an AI-powered virtual human as a mentor.

We all remember the "Unseen" from our days as English students. But have you heard about the "Unheard"?

The "Unseen" exercises play a crucial role in language learning by providing authentic language exposure, enhancing reading skills, expanding vocabulary, facilitating language production, and aiding in assessment preparation. However, it does not include speaking the language - a huge pain point today.

So, what about listening to a short story, then immediately testing your knowledge about it?

That is what we do at Beyond Virtual: finding new ways to let students practice and improve language and conversational skills.

Teenager testimonial on Virtual human avatar assistance is language studying.

" I must say I did not believe it at first. my language skills have improved so much since I started using the language-learning avatars on this platform. At first, I was hesitant about learning from a computer figure, but the virtual character was so engaging and helpful that I quickly became hooked.
