Harvard WorldMUN is among the most prestigious Model United Nations conferences worldwide, a grand concentration of intellectuals from a plethora of ever-diverse countries welded together with a common goal of making our world a better place, each representing a different country in a simulation of an actual conference that would otherwise be held at the United Nations.

Efrat Daffner - Head of Operations & Marketing
Efrat is set to graduate this year with a BA in Economics & Business from Bar Ilan University. She is an Olah from Belgium and the United States.
"I have been an active member of Model UN for the past two years and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to serve on the BARMUN board this year. My experience in the marketing industry spans over four years, including managing a business project at the Marketing department of Bar- Ilan University, marketing various events in Tel Aviv, and serving as the Marketing Administrator for the Students Union at my university. This experience has included the management of multiple campaigns, initiation of projects to expand our marketing platform, management of our website, and the dissemination of information to all students.
As the daughter of a Belgian mother and an American father, and having grown up in multicultural Israel, I have always been surrounded by diverse and fascinating cultures. This has sparked my interest in understanding their different politics, economies, cultures, and representations in the United Nations. Therefore, I am more than happy to be a part of the Model UN, as it has provided me with a deeper understanding of the United Nations and diplomacy, in addition to developing my leadership and public speaking skills.
We have an exciting year planned and I wish all the best to our new delegates. I look forward to meeting you all!

Xiuyue Lu-Vice President
Lu is a third-year student at the International School of Bar-Ilan University, majoring in Political Science and Communication. She is originally from China and has an excellent academic record, having been included on the Dean's list twice. In addition to her academic pursuits, Lu has also gained valuable experience through internships, including one with i24 News in Israel. Furthermore, she is currently the Vice President of the Chinese Students Union in Israel.
"Joining the BarMUN as a political science and communication student has been an incredible experience.It's not just about developing my skills and gaining experience in diplomacy and international relations, but also about learning about different cultures and societies. I got to practice my public speaking, negotiation, and critical thinking skills by representing a different country or organization in simulations.
I also had the chance to meet a lot of students from all over the world, and make connections that could come in handy in the future. But most importantly, MUN is a chance to get involved and make a difference, I discuss and work on solving some of the world's biggest problems. It is a pretty empowering feeling and something that I am proud of."
