Krav Maga Global - KMG HQ

A Man among Men.
The Krav Maga world has lost this morning one of its main historical figures, Master Shaike Barak, Lt.Col.ret from the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), Chief Superintendent ret. of the Israeli National Police.

In the IDF, Shaike was head of KM after Imi Sde-Or (Lichtenfeld) KM founder, retired from active service.
Shaike became an officer and reached the position of head of Combat Fitness Department of the IDF (ממ"ח כושר קרבי). After retiring from military service he joined the police and became its head of the Operational Fitness School (בסכ"מ).

Master Barak was one of the 11 founders of the IKMA - Israeli Krav Maga Assn. and for many years was its vice president, no.2 after Imi.

Shaike was a man of peace, very much like Imi. He contributed big part of his life to educate fighters and warriors, teaching KM and combat fitness to civilians, military, and police personnel.

In 1981 Shaike was on of a group of 5 of top KM experts, who traveled together with Imi to the USA to demonstrate KM to Jewish communities (the journey was financed by the philanthropist Daniel S. Abraham.)

In the late 1980s Shaike and Eyal Yanilov KMG opened and run a KM club/gym in Tel Aviv, educating young people and adults. Several trainees from there, later influenced the KM in the IDF, Israel, and abroad.

Shaike is survived by his wonderful wife, Ilana, and two sons.
May he rest in peace 🖖🏼✡️🇮🇱

Shalom all,
Second clip about pistol defenses, situations related to roberry and other kinds where you can find close range impenfing thrests. Here we're reminding the basic principles and components of the close skill (basic technique). Then we move to variations, including vs pistol threat from the side, with aggressor controlling you, whennto choose which technique, how natural response influences your actions, and more.

You got the knowledge, the next phase is to practice much. To clarify:
You should search for the best teacher you're able to locate, then find the best partner you can recruit, and if you can practice under good supervision, it's like hitting the jackpot 💰💰💰.

✴️ Here's an analysis and explanation that Eyal did against the technique against gun threat from the front.
✳️ The basic, principles, components, understanding the natural behavior of the aggressor, the natural reaction of the trainee, and also the natural responses of an aggressor due to trainee's actions; then added variations, and some tactics.

✴️ Material is divided to two parts.
✳️ Here's the first part

✴️ If you have questions❓️❓️❓️
We suggest what the brain researchers recommend, as well as the Yogies and the MA masters - train on it for half a year, at least 5 minutes every day. If you miss a day, start from the beginning 💪🏼. Then send Eyal your question. He'll be more than happy to assist.

Today Emmanuel and I trained together couple of hours, mainly on E1-2.
Few days ago I had a question about shirt grab. We took the opportunity to take short video together about it, and here's a bit from that subject.
We mentioned and touched: prevention; de-escalation; release; troubleshooting; soft solutions; tactical finishing mode.
