Word of mouth can only get you so far...

But sometimes it gets you to the President's Residence.

Well, I was just filming the event for FinTech.

This is my second time filming here, the last time was when Rivlin was President. The security, as in the Foreign Ministry (where I've filmed several times), made me take everything out and everything apart...it's lucky I had time to set up and actually do the job before the event started (as they let us all in together, I couldn't go in earlier as I had wanted to).

Also, I set up the tripod, switched the camera on and...nothing happened. Of course security had made me take out all the batteries...

They also prohibited taking photos with phones, so I took these with camera 2!

And thank the lord above that I got the JonnyCart (TM) because there would have been a lot of schlepping if I hadn't!

Last week's shoot at the offices of Yedidut Toronto was not only fun (an office full of nicer people you will never find!) but also got me excercising a professional muscle I haven't really excercised before - corporate headshots.

This is the result and, with a few caveats (as I'm always trying to improve) I think these turned out pretty nicely! There were lots more, we did about 20 people, but these are my picks.

Hi! I'm Jonny, I've been a freelance filmmaker for almost 20 years, but with all that video expericence under my belt, I'm finding that still photography is really fun!

I've been doing some shoots with my family, doing favours for friends and grabbing a few stills on video shoots. Now I'm looking to get into headshots and family shoots to keep me going. Here are some examples of what I've been up to!

Hey everyone. Last summer I worked on a feature length documentary about October 7. It was released on Tisha B'Av and then again for the year anniversary of October 7.

Almost immediately afterwards, I started work on a new project - another feature length documentary, this time focusing on 3 students who are fighting the rising antisemitism on college campuses in the US.

I'm beyond proud to be able to use my skills to create more awareness on issues that are so very important to me, not only as an Israeli and a Jew, but as a human being.

Frontline Warriors: The Fight Against Campus Antisemitism Trailer 2.5 mins 2.5 minute trailer for a feature length documentary about the US campus antisemitism and the 3 students who are taking a stand.

A couple of weeks ago, I did a photography shoot for Moshe Sonnheim, a 92 year old author. I've been in the video biz for almost 2 decades but I'm finding still photography to be so much fun!
