🎉 Congratulations to Prof. Ted Tulchinsky!
We are delighted to share that Prof. Ted Tulchinsky, Professor Emeritus at the Braun School of Public Health, Hebrew University–Hadassah, has been named the 2026 recipient of APHA’s Victor Sidel and Barry Levy Award for Peace.
The award recognizes Ted’s decades of extraordinary work advancing health diplomacy and Israeli-Palestinian cooperation in public health, including efforts to prevent infectious diseases, strengthen vaccination programs, and improve maternal and child health.
A wonderful and richly deserved recognition of a remarkable career devoted to public health, cooperation, and peace. Mazal tov, Ted!

Every year, the American Public Health Association honors excellence in public health leadership and innovation, from state and local health officials to those speaking up for public health from the halls of Congress.

ברכות לפרופ' דינה בן יהודה שהשיאה הערב משואה בטקס יום עצמאות ה- 78 למדינת ישראל!

פרופ' בן יהודה, לשעבר דיקן הפקולטה לרפואה, מובילה את המערך ההמטולוגי בבית החולים הדסה, ונחשבת לאחת הדמויות הבולטות בעולם הרפואה והמחקר בישראל. מחקריה, עבודתה הקלינית והתפקידים הציבוריים שמילאה לאורך העשורים האחרונים, עיצבו את פני הרפואה בישראל והביאו להצלת חייהם של רבים. השאת המשואה גם מהווה הוקרה לכלל אנשי מערכת הבריאות שעובדים לילות כימים, גם בתקופה מורכבת זו, כדי להציל חיים ולחזק את העם.

Today we mark 78 years of the State of Israel. The Hebrew University, founded before the State itself, has been part of this story from the very beginning, with roots on Mount Scopus.

That connection continues today through our researchers, students, and alumni, who contribute across every major field, from healthcare and law to high-tech and public service. Their work continues to play a meaningful role in shaping Israel’s future.
