Safra Veseifa - The Word and The Sword Project Dedicate a Torah scroll in memory of your loved one
And contribute to the Sefer Torah to IDF bases The “SafraVeseifa” is a special project in honor of Lt. Col.

Emmanuel Moreno of blessed memory. It assists
the IDF (Israel Defense Forces) combat units by fixing Torah Scrolls that have been deemed unfit for use
according to Jewish law and returning them to the units and army bases where they are needed. The project offers a combined contribution to the Israel Defense Forces together with support for the Institute for Jewish Studies in honor of Lt. Emmanuel Moreno. Lt. Emmanuel Moreno wasa fighter and
commander of the elite Sayeret Matkalunit who fell in combat towards the end of the Second Lebanon War
while returning from a mission in enemy territory. His work in the army was so important that even today
his image has not been de-classified for publication. The sponsors of the project will merit to dedicate a Torah Scroll in their name to the army unit, at a ceremony in the presence of the IDF Chief Rabbi, unit commanders, soldiers, rabbis of the Institute and family
members of the donor.
