אוקטובר היה חודש של תקווה מחודשת ופעולה משמעותית כאן בישראל. השמחה על שובם של החטופים וההסכם להפסקת האש מילאה את קהילתנו באנרגיה חדשה, ואנו מנצלים את המומנטום החיובי הזה לקידום עבודתנו החשובה.
"אחרי החגים – הכול מתחדש."
אנו נרגשים להשיק את סדרת בית המדרש החדשה של מו"ד בנושא ריבונות, בהובלת הרב ד"ר עידו פכטר, בשיתוף עם מרכז מורשת הרמב"ם ובתמיכת קרן מתנאל. המפגש הראשון בסדרה איגד יחד 15 מנהיגים צעירים ללימוד אינטנסיבי בנושא אחריות במנהיגות. משתתפי התוכנית נבחרו בשל הפוטנציאל שלהם לעצב את עתידה של מדינת ישראל בתחומים מגוונים – מטכנולוגיה ועסקים ועד חינוך ושירות ציבורי. הצעירים הללו לקחו חלק בלימוד מעמיק ובשיח פתוח על האתגרים הניצבים בפני החברה הישראלית ועל אחריותם במענה להם.

מחזקים את שורותינו: זהות וערכים בצה"ל
תוכניות הזהות והערכים שלנו בצה"ל ממשיכות לפעול במלוא העוצמה. מנחי בית מורשה מעבירים מדי יום סדנאות ולימודים בחזיתות שונות. במהלך השנה האחרונה הגענו כבר ליותר מ־30,000 חיילי צה"ל במסגרת תוכניות העוסקות באתיקה, חוסן ומנהיגות – גם בתקופת הלחימה הנוכחית.
בין עיקרי הפעילות:
● סדנאות "עומדים בשער" ליותר מ־22,000 חיילי מילואים, המתמקדות בשמירה על סטנדרטים מוסריים גבוהים תוך חתירה למצוינות מבצעית.
● תוכניות חוסן המסייעות לחיילים לעבד את חוויותיהם ולבנות כוח נפשי להמשך השירות.
● תוכנית הכשרה חדשה לנגדים, המספקים תמיכה שוטפת למפקדים בכל הדרגים.
תוכניות אלו ועוד רבות אחרות מופעלות על ידי צוות מורחב של כ־100 מנחים (לעומת 45 טרם פרוץ הלחימה), הפועלים לשימור הלכידות היחידתית, היעילות המבצעית והבהירות המוסרית בתנאי קרב מורכבים.

בונים גשרים – בונים עתיד
תחום הדיאלוג הבין־דתי שלנו צובר תנופה מרשימה השנה. לאחר כנסים מוצלחים במונטריאול, ירושלים וניו יורק – שנערכו בשיתוף עם נשיא המדינה ועם מועצת קרנגי לאתיקה בעניינים בינלאומיים – אנו מפתחים מסגרות מעשיות לשיתוף פעולה בין דתי בין שלוש הדתות האברהמיות. מטרתנו היא מעבר לשיח בלבד – בניית גשרים יציבים של שלום והבנה הדדית.

עם כניסת החורף, בית מורשה ממשיך לדבוק במחויבותו לחיזוק עמוד השדרה הערכי של כוחות הביטחון שלנו, ולביסוס גשרים של הבנה שיהיו חיוניים לביטחונה ולשגשוגה של ישראל בטווח הארוך.

Dear Friends of Beit Morasha,
October has been a month of renewed hope and meaningful action here in Israel. The joy over the return of hostages and the ceasefire agreement has energized our entire community, and we're channeling that positive momentum into our vital work. Yet , we still mourn for the additional losses since the "ceasefire" and the unreturned bodies of the murdered hostages.
"After the holidays, everything is renewed."
We're excited to launch our new Beit Midrash MOED series on Sovereignty, led by Prof. BenjaminIsh-Shalom, Rabbi Dr. Yamin Levi and Rabbi Dr. Ido Pachter in partnership with the Maimonides Heritage Center and with the encouragement and support of the MATANEL Foundation. Our inaugural session brought together 15 emerging leaders for an intensive study on "Responsibility in Leadership." These emerging leaders were selected for their potential to shape Israel's future across diverse sectors - from technology and business to education and public service. These carefully selected young professionals engaged in deep study and dialogue about the challenges facing Israeli society and their role in addressing them.
Strengthening Our Forces: Identity and Values in the IDF
Our IDF Identity and Values programs continue at full capacity, with Beit Morasha facilitators conducting daily sessions across multiple fronts. During the past year we've now reached over 30,000 IDF personnel through our ethics, resilience, and leadership programs during the current conflict. Above this the unit cohesion and resilience programs are aimed at reducing PTSD
Highlights include:
● "Standing at the Gates" workshops for over 22,000 reserve soldiers, focusing on maintaining ethical standards while achieving operational excellence
● Resilience programs that help soldiers process their experiences and build psychological strength for continued service
● A new training program for non-commissioned officers, providing ongoing support for military leaders at every level
These are among the many programs directed by our expanded team of 100 facilitators (grown from 45 pre-conflict) that address the challenges of maintaining unit cohesion, military effectiveness, and moral clarity in complex combat environments.
Building Bridges, Building Future
Our Interfaith Initiatives have gained remarkable momentum this year. Following successful conferences in Montreal, Jerusalem and in New York in collaboration with the Office of the President of Israel and the prestigious Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs, we are developing practical frameworks for religious cooperation among the Abrahamic faiths that extend far beyond dialogue to build lasting bridges of peace and understanding. (the conferences were attended by prominent clergy of all three Abrahamic religions).
Looking Ahead
As we move into winter, Beit Morasha remains committed to strengthening both the ethical backbone of our defense forces and the bridges of understanding that will be essential for Israel's long-term security and prosperity.
