🌟 From JAS to NYU: Grade 10 Student Mohammed Abu Rumi Turns Ambition into a Real-World Experience in Real Estate & Development 🌟

Real Estate NYC: From Design to Development is a summer program offered through New York University’s School of Professional Studies and the Schack Institute of Real Estate, one of the United States’ leading institutions for real estate education. The program allowed students to study real estate at NYU while using New York City, one of the world’s most significant real estate markets, as an extension of the classroom.

The program covered the full life cycle of a real estate project, from identifying and evaluating a potential property to design, development, financing, investment, valuation, construction, and property management. Students learned how developers determine whether a project is financially feasible, how properties are valued and financed, and how factors such as location, architecture, market conditions, and urban planning influence development decisions.

The classroom material was connected to site visits throughout Manhattan, including Hudson Yards and Edge, the 9/11 Memorial and World Trade Center, the High Line, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Oculus, and Central Park. These visits provided real examples of the concepts taught at NYU and showed how financial, architectural, and development decisions come together to shape major properties and public spaces throughout New York City.
Mohammed was so excited to talk about this experience and he said:
Attending NYU SPS Real Estate NYC: From Design to Development was an incredible experience and an opportunity I am truly grateful for. Being able to study real estate and development through NYU while exploring different parts of New York City gave me the chance to see firsthand how architecture, design, construction, and development come together in one of the world’s most influential real estate markets.

The program went far beyond the classroom. Experiencing different developments throughout the city and learning in such a unique environment gave me a new perspective on the field and strengthened my passion for pursuing real estate development in the future.

I am especially grateful to Mrs. Manal Jabara and Mrs. Karine for all of their support and encouragement. Throughout the entire process, they were always there to answer my questions, guide me, and encourage me to take advantage of opportunities like this. Having educators who genuinely believe in my goals and constantly push me to aim higher is something I deeply appreciate.
I was truly proud to represent JAS at NYU SPS and grateful for an experience I will carry with me into the future.

شارك طلبة الصف الحادي عشر بفرعيه في محاضرة مميزة بعنوان «الدافعية»، قدّمها المحاضر ضياء عثمان، مؤسس مركز Spirit لتطوير المهارات الحياتية، بهدف تعزيز مفهوم الدافعية لدى الطلبة، وتسليط الضوء على دورها في تحقيق الأهداف والنجاح على المستويين الأكاديمي والشخصي.

وجاءت هذه المحاضرة بالشراكة بين المدرسة ودائرة المجتمع والشبيبة، في إطار التعاون المشترك والحرص على تقديم برامج نوعية تسهم في دعم طلبتنا وتطوير مهاراتهم الشخصية والحياتية.

تميّزت المحاضرة بأسلوب تفاعلي وحيوي، تخللته مجموعة من الألعاب والأنشطة والأسئلة والنقاشات التي شجعت الطلبة على المشاركة والتفكير والتفاعل. كما تناول المحاضر مجموعة من الأساليب العملية التي تساعد الطلبة على بناء الدافعية والمحافظة عليها، مؤكدًا أن الوصول إلى الأهداف لا يعتمد على الحماس وحده، بل يحتاج إلى الاستمرارية والانضباط والعمل وعدم الاستسلام عند مواجهة التحديات أو فترات الفتور.

ومن خلال أمثلة واقعية وقصص من الحياة اليومية، استطاع المحاضر تقريب الأفكار وربطها بتجارب الطلبة وواقعهم، مما أضفى على اللقاء أجواءً إيجابية جمعت بين التعلم والمتعة والحماس.

وقد أبدى طلبتنا تفاعلًا مميزًا ومشاركة فعّالة في مختلف الأنشطة والنقاشات، وخرجوا برسالة مهمة:

الدافعية قد تكون نقطة البداية، لكن الاستمرار والانضباط والعمل هي الطريق نحو تحقيق الأهداف والنجاح.

وفي هذه المناسبة، نتقدم بشكر خاص للسيدة سلينة جزماوي على جهودها المميزة في التنسيق والإعداد والترتيب، والتي كان لها دور أساسي في إنجاح هذه الشراكة وإخراج هذا اللقاء بهذه الصورة المميزة.

كل الشكر والتقدير للسيد ضياء عثمان، مؤسس مركز Spirit لتطوير المهارات الحياتية، على هذه المحاضرة القيّمة والتجربة الإيجابية والملهمة التي قدمها لطلبتنا، والشكر موصول لكل من ساهم في إنجاح هذا اللقاء والشراكة المثمرة بين المدرسة ودائرة المجتمع والشبيبة.

Our little learners had a bright and cheerful Yellow Day! They came to school dressed in yellow and enjoyed fun, hands-on activities centered around the color yellow.
Through play, exploration, and creativity, the children had the opportunity to experience and learn about the color in a fun and meaningful way.

In light of the current situation and the heavy traffic congestion, we are pleased to announce that, beginning Monday, September 14, 2026, the school’s main building will open its doors at 6:30 AM.

Teachers will be on duty each morning to supervise students who arrive early. This service will be available every school day for the remainder of the academic year.
