This week, Upper School students were joined by one of our parents, Professor Győző Vörös of the Pontifical University Faculty of Biblical Sciences and Archaeology, who told them about his excavations of Mount Machaerus in Jordan. A huge thank you to Professor Vörös for his fascinating lecture and to the students for asking great questions, for example about whether it is fair to make moral judgements about historical figures in the distant past, how it is possible to reconstruct ancient architecture, and why Herod the Great had it in for so many of his relatives! Next year Professor Vörös has agreed to deliver a monthly archeology class in Upper School and facilitate field studies. Very exciting!

Our school Sports Day was filled with energy, teamwork, and lots of fun! From exciting races to cheering on friends, students showed incredible spirit and sportsmanship throughout the day.

Thanks to our amazing PTA, parent volunteers, and station coordinators, today’s Winter Wonderland was filled with smiles, laughter, and joyful moments. A truly memorable experience for our students!

Our first grade class kicked off Mystery Reader and it has quickly become a favorite weekly tradition. Every Monday for the past month, a special guest has shared clues about themselves while the students excitedly try to guess who it is. Once revealed, our mystery reader joins us to read a story to the class. The excitement, curiosity, and joy this brings each week is truly special.

Our Grade 4 students are becoming true body system experts. Today, they welcomed a special guest, Shani’s mom, a dermatologist, who taught them all about the skin, how to keep it healthy, and shared some fun facts. Students then created their own skin models, labeling the epidermis, dermis, sweat glands, and blood vessels. A fun and hands on learning experience.

Our JAIS delegates are on their way to the Model United Nations Conference at Petah Tikva College today! Representing countries from around the world, our students will engage in meaningful debate, diplomacy, and collaboration, tackling global challenges and showcasing their leadership skills.
