From Toronto to Miami. From Los Angeles to Montreal. From Jerusalem to communities around the world.

Many Hebrew teachers have built their practice through years of dedication, experience, and a deep connection to the language.

Yet teaching a language involves much more than speaking it fluently.

How do students acquire a language?
What strategies work best in multilingual environments?
How can educators build a meaningful and lasting connection with Hebrew?

These are some of the questions shaping Hebrew education in the Diaspora today.

We'd love to hear from you:
What is the biggest challenge you face as a Hebrew teacher today?

At ICJE 2026, researchers shared something almost no one else has access to:

A 15-year longitudinal study following the same cohort of young British Jews from age 11 into adulthood.

While much of the Jewish world is debating questions about Israel, identity, belonging, and generational change, Professor Alex Pomson and Dr. Helena Miller brought something rare to the conversation: evidence.

Data gathered over more than a decade, tracking how young Jews relate to Israel, how those relationships evolve over time, and whether the much-discussed generational divide between parents and children is as real as many claim.

The questions they explored have become even more urgent since October 7:

โ€ข What draws young Jews toward Israel?
โ€ข What leads some to criticize it?
โ€ข Why do some choose to build their lives there?
โ€ข How are attitudes changing across generations?

Most educators will read about these findings long after they begin shaping the field.

Participants at ICJE had the opportunity to engage with the research while the conversation is still unfolding.

That is what happens when scholars, practitioners, and educational leaders gather in one place.

The conversation continues.

See you in January 12-14, 2028.

Not every student earns a place on the Dean's List.

And that is precisely the point.

This recognition is reserved for those who consistently demonstrate academic excellence at one of the world's leading universities.

Today, we celebrate our students who achieved this distinction.

Their success reflects not only their dedication, but also the caliber of the academic community they joined.

The best educators never stop learning.

Congratulations to our Dean's List students. You continue to set the standard!

At ICJE 2026, some of the leading minds in Jewish education gathered to debate a question that will shape the next generation of learners:

*"What does meaningful Israel education look like today?"*

Among them was Dr. David Bryfman, CEO of The Jewish Education Project and one of the field's leading voices on the future of Jewish and Israel education, who challenged participants to rethink Israel education in a postโ€“October 7 world.

The discussion challenged assumptions about identity, pluralism, research, practice, and the role of educators in an increasingly complex world.

Most people will encounter the answers years from now.

Conference participants had the opportunity to help shape them in real time.

That is the power of gathering educators, researchers, and practitioners in one room.

The conversation continues.

See you in 2028.

After a difficult few months for Israel, we were delighted to welcome Tamara Minian to our campus; she is a graduate of our International Masterโ€™s Program in Jewish Education and a recipient of the Rectorโ€™s Prize.

Tamara is a Jewish Studies educator specializing in Zionism and the history of modern Israel, teaching at the Hebraica and the Hebreo Monte Sinai and Colegio Hebreo Tarbut.

This was one of the first visits we have received since the war ended, and it reminded us of something we deeply value: our students and graduates are the heart of our community.

Thank you, Tamara, for returning to Jerusalem. It will always be your home.
