While we were celebrating Thanksgiving, an estimated 660 Israeli families lost their homes in the massive wildfires in the Haifa region and throughout the country. The Jewish Agency is already in action. Last night, our housing company, Amigour, evacuated 22 elderly Holocaust survivors from a Haifa nursing home damaged in the fire. These survivors were welcomed into a new Amigour nursing facility in nearby Kiryat Yam. We will continue to provide updates on our emergency assistance.
