Excellence in Action at the Lautenberg Center! 🌟
We are incredibly proud to announce that our very own PhD student, Guy Kariv, has been awarded the prestigious President's Scholarship for Excellence and Scientific Innovation!
Guy was one of only 17 outstanding doctoral students selected to receive this honor at a ceremony held at the President's Residence in Jerusalem.

We’re proud to share that groundbreaking research led by Prof. Michael Berger of the Lautenberg Center—previously published in Nature Communications—has now been featured in The Jerusalem Post!
The study, which uncovered a novel way to enhance the immune system’s ability to fight cancer by reprogramming T cell metabolism, is gaining well-deserved recognition for its potential impact on cancer immunotherapy.

Welcome Dr. Shlomo Elias!📣
We are excited to announce that Dr. Shlomo Elias, MD, PhD, a hematologist at Hadassah Medical Center and Head of the hospital’s Immunotherapy Center, has officially joined the Lautenberg Center.
Dr. Elias brings outstanding expertise in hematology and cancer immunotherapy, and we are thrilled about the growing strength of our community and the opportunities his addition brings.

Last week, a valued member of the Lautenberg Center, Prof. Yinon Ben-Neriah, received the 2025 Israel Prize for Medical Research, presented by Minister of Education Yoav Kisch—and we couldn't be prouder!
The Israel Prize is one of the country’s highest honors, awarded for outstanding contributions to society. Prof. Ben-Neriah’s work has led to important cancer treatments, including a widely used leukemia drug.
