Back Extension Yoga Workshop with an introduction to Pranayama (Breathing exercises).

Next Friday 21-4 from 13:00 to 16:00 in Azza 32, Rechavia-Jerusalem.

The workshop will be given by Yoga With Antonella and a Senior Teacher from Argentina Alexa Tau, with more then 30 years experience and different techniques.

🔆 The chair teaches the shoulder blades to stay engaged and thus opens the chest.
🔆The rib belt helps contain the ribs and teaches the body alignment.
🔆The belt between the elbows (in the form of eight) ensures that they do not open and have a solid posture, finally the block between the hands aligns the forearm.

In Asanas (postures) that are difficult for the body and the mind it’s best to use supports at first until the body and mind register the alignment.
🕉 The goal is not the final posture, but the path towards it.

Chaturanga with two belts. The leg strap helps compact the hips and relax the groin. The other belt goes elbow-width from the trunk, this belt helps keep the elbows close to the body and does not let the front of the body collapse falling towards the floor.

It can then be combined with Urdhva Mukha Svanasana by doing it dynamically.

🇦🇷 Chaturanga con dos cintos. El cinto en las piernas ayuda a compactar las caderas y relajar las ingles. El otro cinto va de codos codo ancho del tronco, este cinto ayuda a mantener los codos pegados al cuerpo y no deja que que la parte frontal del cuerpo colapse cayendo hacia el piso.

Luego se puede combinar con Urdhva Mukha Svanasana haciéndolo dinámicamente

This variation strength the legs, buttocks and abdomen without involving the back.
The belt helps to compact from the knees to the coccyx and the block helps to compact the hips, but the groins are relaxed. It is one of my favorite postures during my knee recovery.

Give me your opinion and share it with whoever needs it.
☝🏿 Push with the feet & squeeze the block
✌🏼Connect the buttocks like if you want to stand up.

🇦🇷 Esta variación tonifica piernas, glúteos y abdomen sin involucrar la espalda.
El cinto ayuda a compactar desde las rodillas al coxis y el bloque ayuda a compactar caderas, pero las ingles estan relajadas. Es una de mis posturas favoritas durante mi recuperacion de la rodilla.

Dejame tu opinión y compartilo con quien lo necesite.

☝🏿Empuja el piso con todo el pie y aprieta el bloque con las piernas.
✌🏼Activa los glúteos como si te quisieras levantar.

In this variation of Shirsasana with the chair (shoulder stand), in addition to the benefits that the posture in general gives us, incorporate the block and two belts to help the legs, the action of the muscle to the bone of the external and internal faces.

⭐️This is a great option if you have knee, hip, lumbar fatigue, or pelvic floor problems.

En esta variación de Sirsasana con la silla (soporte de hombro), además de los beneficios que nos brinda la postura en general, incorporamos el bloque y dos cinturones para ayudar a las piernas, la acción del músculo al hueso de las cara externa e interna. También ayuda con la alineación y disminuye el esfuerzo muscular.

⭐️ Esta es una excelente opción si tiene problemas de rodilla, cadera, fatiga lumbar o piso pélvico.

Neck pain or a feeling of heaviness in your shoulders?
Poor posture—shoulders falling forward and a concave chest, a result of hours spent sitting or holding yourself incorrectly—may be the cause.

⭐️ This stretch, known as Garudasana, releases tension from the neck and eases the shoulders.

⭐️ It can be done standing or sitting. First, push the shoulder blades back and lower the shoulders as far as possible, while keeping the arms raised at 90 degrees.
⭐️ Next, tilt the head bringing the ear to the shoulder without raising the opposite shoulder, then turn the head and bring the chin to the shoulder.
Perform on both sides and alternate arms.
