๐ข๐น๐ฎ๐บ ๐๐ต๐ฒ๐๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐ฌ๐ถ๐ฏ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฒ๐ต responds to a gap our , educators, and other female Torah leaders have been voicing for years.
As learned women, they are often called into situations of illness, loss, mourning, and difficult end-of-life decisions โ moments that demand both deep halachic expertise and profound human sensitivity.
Until now, there have been few opportunities to study these areas of Torah at the depth these situations require.
Fifteen women began the program this month, including senior yoatzot and ramโiot. They join the Kollelโs existing tracks in Halacha and Gemara, led by Rav Ari Sat, who has taught Halacha in the Kollel since its inception.
For more than a decade, Rav Sat has served as rabbi of Kibbutz Saโad in the Gaza Envelope, supporting Saโad and neighboring kibbutzim through times of crisis. Since October 7, he has played a central role in providing pastoral support to communities that suffered devastating losses. It is especially meaningful that this program is led by someone who has spent years accompanying people through these very experiences.
