Reichman University (IDC Herzliya) is the first and only private university in Israel.

It has the largest international school in Israel: the Raphael Recanati International School (RRIS) with over 2,500 international students from 91 different countries. Meet the Zvi Meitar Emerging Technologies Program ✨

Where emerging technology meets law, ethics, psychology, entrepreneurship, economics, and society.

This year-long English program gives RRIS students the opportunity to learn beyond the classroom through expert talks, hands-on workshops, research projects, TED Talk presentations, and visits to startups, companies, government offices, and leading organizations across Israel.

Students connect with industry leaders, government officials and NGOs while exploring the biggest questions surrounding disruptive technologies. They also gain the tools to join the public conversation, publish position papers, influence policy, and even help draft laws and regulations.

13 academic credits. Two practical workshops. One guided research project. A year of ideas, experiences, and meaningful impact. 🚀

“Hi everyone, my name is Lital Baz. I’m 22 years old and originally from Panama City, Panama 🇵🇦. I just finished my third year studying Communication with a specialization in Human Computer Interaction.

One of the things I love most about the RRIS is its diversity. Meeting people from so many different countries has been an amazing experience.

I chose to study at the RRIS because it had been my dream university since sixth grade. Studying here has given me valuable knowledge and professional skills that will help me pursue a future career in marketing.

🌟 Student Spotlight: Elian Tetruashvili 🌟

Meet Elian Tetruashvili, a third-year student studying Business Administration and Entrepreneurship at the RRIS. Born in Israel and raised in Romania, Elian speaks four languages and brings a truly international perspective to the RRIS community!

“Reichman University represents what I value most: the opportunity to live in Israel while studying in English, surrounded by a diverse and international community. I love the networking opportunities, the many ways to get involved, and the chance to grow and gain experience beyond the classroom.

Alongside my studies, I work in the RRIS Marketing Department as a Website Editor, where I work on UX/UI, content, graphics, and making sure our website is clear, engaging, and easy to navigate. I genuinely love my job, and working at the RRIS has been one of the best things that has happened to me. I’m incredibly grateful for the work I get to do, what I’m studying, and especially the amazing people I’ve met along the way.

Outside of university and work, I love traveling, exploring new places, and spending time with the people I love. For me, the RRIS is more than just a place to study. It’s a community that gives me the opportunity to learn, connect, and grow in so many different ways.”

Exploring the future of human-robot interaction 🤖✨

We are proud to share that two Media Innovation Lab (Milab) research papers were successfully presented at the International Conference on Social Robotics (ICSR) 2026 in London! 🇬🇧

Seeing our students and researchers share their innovative work on a global stage is truly inspiring. Here’s a look at the research studies presented:

Ella Zvinitski presented research exploring how the peripheral motion of a minimal robot can subtly influence human cognitive performance, even without direct interaction. The study was conducted as part of the M.A. HCI Robotics Seminar at Reichman University and co-authored by Ella Zvinitski, Shani Rozenfeld, Prof. Hadas Erel, and Andrey Grishko.

Adi Manor, PhD student at Reichman University, presented research conducted at Milab with Prof. Mario Mikulincer and Prof. Hadas Erel, exploring how a robot’s attentive behavior can encourage people to engage with unfamiliar experiences, while an inattentive robot may push people toward the familiar and safe.

Congratulations to our students and researchers for representing Milab and Reichman University on the international stage and advancing the future of human-robot interaction! 🌐👏

Meet Clara!

“Hi everyone! My name is Clara Benjamin. I am 19 years old, originally from Venezuela, and currently finishing my first year at the RRIS studying Communication.

I chose Reichman University because it allowed me to combine two of my dreams: living in Israel and studying in English. Israel has always been special to me because I have family here and many of my favorite childhood memories were made during visits here.

What I love most about the RRIS is its international community. I enjoy meeting students from different backgrounds, learning from their perspectives, and sharing my Venezuelan culture with them.

Moving from Venezuela to Israel has been challenging but incredibly rewarding. It has helped me become more independent, adaptable, and confident. I am grateful to be part of the RRIS community and excited for everything still to come! 🇻🇪🇮🇱”
