Sunday does not only bring with it a whole new week but also another Meet the Fellows post with our series! Today it is none other than Danielle Ashkenazi!
Danielle is a 3rd-year student from the Government track. Danielle is originally from Canada, she decided to join the Public Diplomacy program because she's passionate about both Israel and diplomacy in large. Danielle's favorite quote is "Have courage and be kind" from Cinderella . Her dream job is to become a lawyer and represent Israel in the international arena. Danielle's favorite movie is Inglorious Bastards making her the only fellow to pick a Tarantino film. You could even argue she's the only fellow to pick an Israeli movie since Tarantino is now definitely an honorary Israeli.

Her favorite quote is "Not everything that's heavy needs to be carried" by Blake Auden. Liat's favorite leader is Benjamin Franklin because he was ahead of his time and overall a pretty cool guy, also, Liat added "I was kind of obsessed with him as a kid". We're back after a much needed intermission (finals, am I right?) with yet another post! Today we're excited to introduce Idan Goldwasser!
Idan is a 3rd-year student from the Communications track in the Marketing and Political Comms specialization. Idan is from beautiful Kadima Zoran, Israel. He decided to join the Public Diplomacy program because he's addicted to everything which has to do with communications and government, as such, he spends countless hours on Twitter (I think most of us at the PD program do to be honest). Idan's favorite quote is "The price of greatness is responsibility" by Winston Churchill. Idan's dream job is to be a marketing communications manager at an international company. His favorite book is A State at Any Cost: The Life of David Ben-Gurion, his favorite movie is the Ben-Gurion, Epilogue documentary and when asked if he could meet anyone dead or alive Idan shockingly said…David Ben-Gurion. Now you must be thinking, Idan's favorite world leader, no brainer right? He's obviously a Ben-Gurion mega fan, and you're right, but his favorite world leader is actually Winston Churchill because of his courage during WWII. Fun fact, Idan is our resident TikTok expert at the program and runs a fairly popular travel Instagram page!

Wednesday is here and it brings with it yet another Public Diplomacy Fellow for you all to meet with our series! Today it is our extreme pleasure to introduce our very own valley girl, Romy Labi!
Romy is a 3rd-year student from the Government track. Romy is originally from Los Angeles and decided to join the program because she finds the ever-changing field of Public Diplomacy to be fascinating. Romy's favorite quote is "And maybe what lies ahead is greater than what you expected" by Dhiman. Her favorite leader is President John F. Kennedy because of his leadership and decision making during the Cuban missile crisis. Fun fact, JFK once claimed in an interview he had a reading speed of 1,200 words a minute, talk about speed reading! When asked what her dream job was, Romy simply replied "I have too many dream jobs". Her favorite movie is "Little Miss Sunshine" which is just a better version of "RV" if you think about it, with "Meet the Millers" being the worst version. She would like to one day meet Meghan Markle (she was great in Suits) and her favorite book is The Kite Runner. When asked what is one thing you cannot live without, Romy stated "Dogs".

Sunday is here yet again and that can only mean one thing, it is time to meet another Public Diplomacy Fellow with our series! Today you get to meet none other than Vera Kanibalovsky!
Vera is a 3rd-year student from the Government and Sustainability track. She is a Ukrainian-Israeli from the pride and joy of Israel, the great city of Netanya. Vera joined the Public Diplomacy program because she has always been fascinated and interested in the realms of international relations and diplomacy. When asked what her dream job would be, Vera stated simply "CEO" without any further detail or explanation. Her favorite quote is "You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the starts; you have a right to be here" by Max Ehrman. When asked if she could choose to meet anyone, dead or alive, Vera answered she'd like to meet her great grandmother whom she was named after and had heroic moments during World War II. Vera's favorite film is "The Great Gatsby" (respectable, respectable) and her favorite book is Parnassus on Wheels. If Vera was to have a superpower, she'd choose to have the ability to bend and control water, like in Avatar the Last Airbender. Oh yeah she also knows how to play the ukulele, now that’s a skill!

You all know the deal by now, it's time again to meet yet another Public Diplomacy Fellow with our series! We're thrilled for you to meet Shaked Ben-Avi!
Shaked is a 3rd-year student from the Government and Diplomacy track. She is from Lapid, Israel, no not the minister, yes it is a real place, look it up. Shaked decided to join the program because she is passionate about Israel and believes it’s the best place in the world, so she wants to gain the relevant tools to improve Israel's image in the world. Her dream job is to be a clinical psychologist (she's going to study Psychology after she finishes her degree in Gov.)! Her favorite movies are Pearl Harbor and Eurotrip, talk about having diverse taste. Shaked would like to one day meet McFly (not the guy from Back to the Future, they're a British pop band) as she is a big fan, I even spotted her rocking some of their merch. Shaked is also a self-proclaimed serial record breaker in every game she plays, but I have yet to see any actual evidence for this, so the validity of this claim is questionable.

Tal is a 3rd-year student from the Government track. She is originally from Modi'in, but thankfully she managed to escape and now lives in the Mediterranean Capital of Cool, Tel Aviv. She joined the Public Diplomacy program because she wanted to acquire the tools to make an impact in Israel advocacy. Her dream job is to have a license to kill and join the Mosad. Agent Tal has a nice ring to it, she likes her coffee shaken, not stirred. Her favorite movie is Mulan (She's the second fellow to pick Mulan, for those paying attention) and would like to one day meet Beyonce "for the little girl inside of her." Tal's favorite book is A Thousand Splendid Suns and her favorite quote is "Belief creates the actual fact" by William James. Also she was an officer in the IDF.

It's the first Sunday of a new year and we're back to introduce yet another Public Diplomacy Fellow with our series! This time we're excited to introduce Matan Razinovsky!
Matan is a 3rd-year student from the Government Track from America. He joined the program because he wanted to surround himself with like-minded individuals who share his passion for Israeli Diplomacy. Matan's favorite world leader is Barack Obama because of his calm and collected approach when it comes to hard hitting issues. Probably also because of his slick wardrobe (remember the tan suit?). His favorite quote is "More hands make for less work" and Matan's dream job is to become an international lawyer in the UN. His favorite movie is Forrest Gump, these movie choices are like a box of chocolates, or shrimp, or something. Matan's favorite book is 1984 (you know it's an honors program when this is the second Orwell book chosen) and he is strangely flexible!

It's time for the last of the year 2021! This time it is none other than the amazing Yuval Malul!
Yuval is a 3rd-year student from the Government Track and is from the exotic city of uh, Haifa, Israel. Yuval decided to Join the PD program because she aspires to change the global perception of Israel, how admirable! Her favorite quote is "You never lose. Either you win or learn", her favorite book is The Little Prince, she cannot live without wine and she used to ride horses. Unfortunately, her favorite movies are the Harry Potter series breaking the streak of good favorite movie choices we had going. Her dream job is to be in charge of Israel's nation branding, professor Tal Azran would be so proud! She would like to one day meet Oprah Winfrey, who will without a doubt be interviewing her about her wildly successful Israel nation branding campaign.

Sunday is here and that means it is time to meet another Public Diplomacy Fellow, with our series! We are stoked for you all to meet the beach cleaning prodigy himself, Enrique Feinholz!
Enrique is a 3rd-year student from the Sustainability and Government Track and is originally from Mexico. He decided to join the program because he believes that diplomacy is the best tool to create the change he wants to see in the world. His favorite movie is Frozen and somehow not Coco (bad take Enrique, but we'll try not to hold it against you). His favorite book is Eragon, skip the film adaptation, it's awful! One thing he decidedly cannot live without is coffee and his dream job would be to continue contributing to sustainable development. Oh did we mention Enrique is one of the co-founders of TrashTag? How cool is that!

It's Wednesday and that means it is time again to meet another Public Diplomacy Fellow for our series. We are pleased to introduce the one and only Alexis Tetelbaun!
Alexis is a 3rd-year student from the Government Track from Canada, or as the rest of the world calls it, America's hat. Her favorite quote is "Real Change, enduring change, happens one step at a time" by the great Ruth Bader Ginsburg. When asked to choose one thing she couldn't live without, Alexis cheated and picked two things: books and coffee. Her superpower would be Eidetic memory (photographic memory). Her favorite movie is either the Mummy (boo) or Mulan (yay). Rumor has it she even knows all the Mulan songs by heart, but she'll have to prove it at the Public Diplomacy karaoke night. Fun fact- Alexis is also the Public Diplomacy class representative!

It's that time of week again! Time to meet a new Public Diplomacy fellow. Today it is our pleasure to introduce to you our very own Daniel Zvi!
Daniel is a 3rd-year student and one of the few Communication majors in the program. Daniel hails from Fort Lauderdale, Florida (please refrain from making Florida man jokes). He joined the program because he is passionate about Israel advocacy and wants to assist in improving Israel's image. His favorite quote is "You don't have to be great to get started, but you do have to get started to be great" by Les Brown. His favorite book is Animal Farm, which, contrary to the title, has surprisingly little to do with agriculture. He also mentioned that his favorite movie is Good Will Hunting, which never fails to make him tear up. Another excellent choice; who would have thought our fellows would be such movie connoisseurs!
