Seminar Day in the IMPH Program ๐๐
Yesterday ( 16.6.26) , students in the Nutrition Role in Public Health course, part of our International Master of Public Health (IMPH) program at the School of Public Health, University of Haifa, presented their seminar projects.
The presentations reflected impressive depth, critical thinking, and engagement with contemporary public health nutrition challenges. Topics ranged from nutrition and behavioral interventions, patient-centered care approaches, and chronic diseases - including obesity, to emerging innovations such as AI-based tools for nutritional assessment and intervention development.
Students also explored research on patientsโ needs, preferences, and barriers to adopting healthy nutrition and lifestyle behaviors, while identifying important gaps and future research directions.
A big congratulations to our hardworking students for their excellent preparation, professionalism, and thoughtful presentations.
We are proud of your dedication and achievements!

Smart health policies can often
reduce social injustice โ
Research led by Prof. Maya Negev
from the University of Haifa shows
that while high-income countries such as
the U.S., Europe, China & Japan
drive most greenhouse gas emissions,
the Global South suffers rising mortality from
heat, disease & food insecurity,
despite contributing far less to the crisis.
The good news: reducing heat exposure
can narrow this social injustice and impact for good ๐
This is exactly the kind of challenge our MPH program
trains future public health leaders to address.

๐โจ Learning beyond the classroom! โจ๐
Last week, our International MPH students at the University of Haifa stepped out of the traditional classroom and into a hands-on workshop at the University Library, focused on literature searching for research and the use of AI tools for targeted literature search and scientific writing.
A special thank you to Ronit Marko for leading such an engaging and practical session, and to our wonderful students for their hard work, curiosity, and impressive progress on their research proposals as part of the course ๐
We are proud to provide our students with practical, real-world experiences and access to university resources that support their academic and professional growth.
