מי שרק רוצה ללמוד את השפה ברמה בסיסית כדי להכיר אותה ולחוות כמה חודשי מגורים ביפן, יכול להגיע לתוכנית קצרה של 3 חודשים. תוכנית כזו לא מצריכה ויזה מיוחדת וויזת תייר רגילה שאורכת 90 יום תופסת במקרה הזה.

[A Hot Spring Town Overflowing with Charm! Soak in the Many Waters of Kurokawa Onsen]
A 3-hour bus ride from Kumamoto Station will bring you to the secluded Kurokawa Onsen, a small onsen village quietly tucked away among the rolling green mountains. Kurokawa Onsen is extremely popular not only for the scenery filled with beautiful nature and charming ryokan, but for the varying hot spring waters which differ from ryokan to ryokan (Japanese-style inn).

When at Kurokawa Onsen, you must try “rotenburo” (outdoor hot spring bath) hopping! An onsen hopping pass costs 1,300 JPY and will allow you to choose three of the 28 onsen options to soak in! One of the joys of an onsen town is taking a stroll through the village before slipping into a rotenburo for a soak.

There are also many things to see in the onsen town, including a temple that enshrines neck-less “jizo” statues, which are said to be the origin of Kurokawa onsen, and the photogenic Marurin Bridge. Also be sure to visit the local shops, where you can try food and sweets made with fresh ingredients from the A*o region as well as local sake!
