Many years ago, I randomly became the witness of a murder. Watching closely as a person became a co**se was something that changed me forever. It's true, Death is the greatest of teachers, and while I have no desire to leave this world quite yet, the possibility is utterly fascinating.
"It is truly a great cosmic paradox that one of the best teachers in all of life turns out to be death. No person or situation could ever teach you as much as death has to teach you. While someone could tell you that you are not your body, death shows you. While someone could remind you of the insignificance of the things that you cling to, death takes them all away in a second. While people can teach you that men and women of all races are equal and that there is no difference between the rich and the poor, death instantly makes us all the same.
The question is, are you going to wait until that last moment to let death be your teacher?"

Using the term "Toxic people", indicates it's time to look into a mirror. We're all living, in pain. Some more than others. See this pain, and heal it, within yourself, and those around you. Or don't, and judge. In the mirror, you'll find your greatest teacher.
When Prince Ea first came on the scene, I won't lie, I couldn't stand his videos. I thought, "Who is this guy pretending to be? A Prince? Flexing his biceps, and reciting spoken word to appeal to the masses?" It turns out I was wrong. I was jealous of his fearless energy. Shortly after this realization, I was lucky enough to meet him, and saw that he wasn't a Prince. He was a King. And so are we. So yes, my friends, I quit. And I ask you to, as well.

One thing I miss about living in Philadelphia is the dramatic changing of the seasons. Every fall, the trees reminded me of how we are all constantly evolving, and how we are given the opportunity to "leave" things behind. That which we released, may eventually become the soil in which our roots grow within... Or the wind may take it away and make room for something else. This fall, let us breathe deeply, and summon the winds of change to guide us all. π
