Ohr Moshe - Beit Shemesh

Ohr Moshe - Beit Shemesh Ohr Moshe was established in Beit Shemesh as a viable educational alternative for Anglo teenage boys Neither option is productive.

Ohr Moshe was originally established as a viable educational alternative for Anglo teenage boys who had not successfully integrated into the mainstream Israeli school system. It has additionally become the perfect destination for students who simply require a smaller class size to succeed. The average class size in regular Israeli schools is 25-40 students, which obviously does now allow for individual attention. Those who have severe problems have the benefit of specialized school programs with smaller classrooms, but those whose needs are mild fall somewhere in between. They have two options: either to be placed in a regular class which cannot meet their needs or to be placed in a remedial educational setting together with students who have far more severe problems which demand more of the teachers’ time and energy. In either case, their minds aren't being challenged and their needs aren't being met. As a result, many of them feel like misfits or failures. In truth, they have not failed; it is the system which has failed them. Ohr Moshe offers a holistic approach to education, ensuring students’ emotional, social and spiritual needs are being met while developing their scholastic and intellectual abilities. We assess each student’s strengths and weaknesses and our resource department develops specialized learning strategies to meet specific needs. They are treated like serious students with limitless possibilities. We recognize that every student is a world unto himself and that everyone has the potential to succeed; we just need to illuminate the path. By providing students with a warm environment, small classes, individual attention, and structured learning programs tailored to each student’s particular strengths, the students benefit from a positive learning experience which in turn boosts their self-esteem and feeling of success. At Ohr Moshe, failure is not an option. We have found that with our personalized and individual approach to education, mild difficulties can be addressed and overcome. Students that previously were labeled as failures are thriving and we schep nachas watching them grow in their studies, self-confidence, maturity and yir’as shamayim. Ohr Moshe is changing lives for the better, one student at a time.

So if you read the right news sources, you will hopefully see that this morning, while most were fast asleep (not the IDF) Israel preemptively struck and destroyed 6,000 rockets and UAVs that were planned to be fired at Israel.

These were highly accurate high level missiles that would likely have overwhelmed our missile defense system. They would have mostly hit Tel Aviv and other dense residential areas.

August 25th would have been another October 7th.

Please consider making a small seudas hodaa today and truly thanking Hashem for his endless miracles.

Our challenges can either be sources of regret and sorrow, or our building blocks for future success.

This is not just an act of kindness. Look carefully and what you will see is pure chinuch. Nothing in this world could better guide this child towards a life of kindness and generosity than this moment.
