Spotlight on Mrs. Miriam Friedman, MSW
Mrs. Friedman received her Masters in Social Work from Yeshiva University in 2006. She has been a practicing clinical social worker specializing in adolescent girls for the last decade. Miriam has also worked in informal education in seminary settings, and served as the Executive Director of Magen, an organization that combats child sexual abuse. She is excited to bring the values of personal growth and relationship skills into her classes, called "Good To Great", and to contribute her expertise in mental health to the Kol Hadassa team. Miriam lives in Ramat Bet Shemesh with her husband and four children.

*TEACHER FEATURE* -- Spotlight on Mrs. Nava Rosenbloom!

Mrs. Rosenbloom’s love of Judaism and Israel brought her from NJ to Israel after completing her degree in Political Science, History and Jewish Studies at Rutgers University. Once in Israel, Nava worked at the Jewish Agency’s Institute for Overseas Leadership as the program coordinator and also taught courses to the groups of post high school students from abroad.

Simultaneously, Nava became a licensed tour guide of Israel and began sharing the wonders of Israel with tourists from all over the world. Utilizing tours of Israel as a means of informal, experiential education, Nava has had the opportunity to assist teenagers deepen their connection to Judaism through touring the land. Nava is thrilled to be part of the Kol Hadassa team, working both in and out of the classroom to deepen students’ connections with Torah and the Land of Israel.

For the next few weeks, we'd like to showcase our unbelievable teachers at Kol Hadassa. Second only to our amazing students, our teachers are the heart and soul behind Kol Hadassa! This week's "Teacher Feature" is on the amazing Mrs. Aliza Wachsstock, our Math and Earth Science teacher.

Initially trained as a structural engineer, Mrs. Wachsstock decided to bring her skills and experience back to the high school classroom, where her love of science and math began. Mrs.Wachsstock brings her enthusiasm, warmth, and love of teaching to the classroom. She holds an undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering and a Masters in Education.

We're so lucky to have Mrs. Wachsstock with us!

There is an answer! Our girls should never feel alone or unable to succeed! Kol Hadassa High School for Girls in Bet Shemesh doesn't expect your daughter to conform to our way of learning, rather we build our curriculum around her. As we wrap up another successful year at Kol Hadassa, we want to wish Mazal Tov to our amazing graduates, and all the best on their future endeavors!

Our favorite line from one of our students at the graduation was, "For some of us Kol Hadassa was our only choice, but for all of us it was the best choice."
