What an incredible week for Team Zarkor at the World Scholar's Cup Global Round in Prague!

✨ 7 of our 8 teams have qualified for the Tournament of Champions at Yale University!
✨ Every single student won at least one debate medal.
✨ We smashed last year's results, with many returning scholars doubling—and even tripling—the number of medals they earned.

Special congratulations to our standout scholars, including Yael Shemesh (8 medals), Naomi Rubens (7 medals), and Leah Shmila, Mia Fedorenko Gordon, Uri Wald and Yoav Rubens (6 medals each).

But beyond the medals, I'm proudest of the way these students supported one another, embraced every challenge, and represented Zarkor and Israel with excellence, resilience and heart.

We are also immensely proud of our very own Lior Misrachi, who won Coach of the Year!

Today, our students received their personalised team t-shirts as they prepare to head off to Prague to compete in the World Scholar’s Cup.🇨🇿🇮🇱
Last year, we had 9 students reach this stage — this year, 24 students will represent us. What an incredible reflection of the growth of this program!
We are so proud of the journey each of these students has taken, and the dedication, resilience, and hard work they have shown to get here. 🦙

We were honored to welcome Her Excellency, the Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Israel, together with the Consul of the Czech Republic, to Zarkor School today.
Their visit was a meaningful recognition of the outstanding achievements of our students. Her Excellency the Ambassador and the Consul came specifically to meet the 24 exceptional Zarkor students who will represent both our school and Israel at the World Scholar’s Cup in Prague this July.
This moment reflects more than academic excellence. It highlights the strong and enduring connection between the Czech Republic and the State of Israel—a partnership grounded in shared values, cultural exchange, and a deep commitment to education and future generations.
We are incredibly proud of our students for reaching this milestone and grateful for the encouragement and recognition from such distinguished guests.
Zarkor continues to nurture curiosity, excellence, and global citizenship—and we look forward to seeing our students shine on the world stage in Prague.

איך מסכמים שנה מלאה בצמיחה, בנייה ולמידה? 🌱✨

חוגגים אותה יחד! בחרנו לציין את סיום השנה בסדנת הורה-ילד מיוחדת של בנייה, שתילה ויצירה 🛠️🎨

זו הייתה הזדמנות יפה לעצור לרגע, להתבונן בכל מה שזרענו, בנינו ויצרנו במהלך השנה, וליהנות מזמן איכות וחיבור אמיתי בין ההורים לילדים.

אז מה היה לנו שם?
🪵 בגני טרום חובה: הילדים וההורים בנו יחד אדניות מעץ ושתלו בהן פרחים – תהליך מדהים שמבטא צמיחה, אכפתיות והתחלות חדשות.
🔑 בגני חובה: הילדים יצרו מחזיקי מפתחות בהשראת תוכנית ה־SEL שלנו, "מפתחות הקסם של דידי" (המשמשים ככלי מדהים לגישור, ויסות וביטוי רגשי).

קינחנו בשירה משותפת 🎶 שהוסיפה המון שמחה, קצב ואור לחגיגה שכולה שיקפה את רוח השנה הזו – צמיחה, למידה וקשר חם 💛

🎭 A Midsummer Night’s Dream & The Magic of Poetry! ✨

What an incredible evening celebrating the culmination of our 6th-grade Classics Project at Zarkor! 🌟

Our talented students blew us away with a beautiful bilingual showcase:

🎭 Shakespeare: A stunning production of "A Midsummer Night's Dream". This was student-led masterpiece! Our 6th graders did it all—acting, stage management, set design, costumes, and creating the playbill. 🎬👗

✍️ Poetry: A beautiful presentation of their original poetry books in Hebrew, inspired by the legendary Natan Alterman. 📘🕊️

We are so proud of their creativity, teamwork, and dedication to both English theater and Hebrew literature. Bravo, 6th graders! 👏❤️

🎤 כשמוזיקה, קהילה ונוסטלגיה נפגשים על במה אחת! 🎶
אחרי חודשים ארוכים של הכנות, אינספור חזרות, התרגשות שיא והשקעה עצומה של הילדים המדהימים שלנו ושל כל צוות בית הספר – זה קרה. ביום שני עלינו על הבמה לחגיגה בלתי נשכחת של אור, צלילים וקהילה.
כל ילדי בית הספר הופיעו וביצעו יחד את השירים הישראליים הכי יפים, אלו שכולנו גדלנו ועליהם וממשיכים ללוות אותנו תמיד. הרגעים האלה שבהם האולם כולו שר יחד בקול אחד היו מרגשים כל כך.
השיא של הערב היה כבוד עצום וזכות יוצאת דופן עבורנו ועבור הילדים: לארח את האמן והיוצר שלמה גרוניך! 🎹
לעמוד לצדו על הבמה, לשיר איתו ולספוג מהכישרון והאנרגיה שלו – זו חוויה לחיים שהילדים (וגם אנחנו...) לא ישכחו עוד זמן רב.
תודה ענקית לכל מי שלקח חלק, תמך, הפיק, דחף והגיע לחגוג איתנו את כוחה של הקהילה שלנו. יש לנו במה וילדים להתגאות בהם! 🌟

מה קורה כששפה, מחקר ותרבות נפגשים על שולחן אחד? 🌍🎓
היום הגיע לשיאו פרויקט הערבית השכבתי של שכבה ו', "מאסטר שף עדות", בתערוכה חגיגית של "ארוחת בוקר של (ט)עמים".

מאחורי המיצגים הצבעוניים עמדו שבועות של למידה משמעותית וחקר מעמיק. התלמידים לא רק "בישלו", אלא יצאו למסע לימודי רב-תחומי:

🍽️ חקר גאוגרפי וחברתי: הכרה מעמיקה של מדינות המזרח התיכון, מאפייני האזור וההקשר התרבותי שלהן.

🍽️ חיבור שפתי: העמקת הקשר לשפה הערבית דרך המנהגים והמסורות המאפיינים אותה.

🍽️ מיומנויות המאה ה-21: עבודת צוות, יצירתיות, תכנון מורכב והוצאה של רעיון מהכוח אל הפועל.

🍽️ המיזם הוכיח שהדרך הטובה ביותר ללמוד שפה חדשה היא דרך החוויות והסיפורים שמרכיבים אותה. ראינו היום כיצד הסקרנות והלמידה החווייתית הופכות את הידע למשהו חי, מחבר ובעל ערך.

גאים בתלמידים שלנו על תהליך של צמיחה, חקירה ותוצרים מרשימים שמעוררים השראה (ולא רק תיאבון)! ✨📚

Congratulations to all 30 of our scholars who qualified for the next round in Prague! 🏆

We are proud beyond words! After two delays due to the war, our Zarkor scholars finally made it to the regional round of the WSC, and their resilience shone through. 🥳

Special shoutouts to:
- Yael Shemesh — 7th place overall in writing + 1st place AIpaca scholar
- Lia Ben‑Dor — 20th place overall in writing

We had the pleasure of welcoming MITF participants from the US, Canada, and the UK to Zarkor for an inspiring and energising visit. The group toured our school, learned about our innovative, evidence‑based English program, and explored how we integrate PBL to create meaningful, student‑centered learning experiences. They witnessed firsthand the genuine love of learning that shines through our students and teachers and even had the chance to teach a little themselves. We are always proud to be a centre of excellence, and we loved the opportunity to showcase what we do best.

בית ספר פרטי במרכז הארץ. כבר לפחות 8 שנים הכניסו את הספר "האחר הוא אני," ללימודי הליבה של כיתות ב'. ארגנתי את השולחן שלי והתלמידים נכנסו בשקט מדהים. התישבו על הכסאות או על השטיחים בלי צעקות, בלי מריבות , ברוגע. הקשיבו אחד לשני כששאלו שאלות. ידעו להקשיב. כיבדו את העומדים מולם. המורה לא אמרה מילה. ישבה כמו כול הילדים והקשיבה. יש נקודות אור.
