Holocaust Remembrance Day 🕯

Yesterday, at the Welcome Center, we marked Holocaust Remembrance Day - a day in Israel dedicated to commemorating the six million Jews who were murdered in Europe during World War II.

The Welcome Center hosted Daniel Schwab, who shared a moving testimony about letters exchanged between a son who managed to escape and his parents who remained trapped in N**i Germany - a powerful story of survival and hope against all odds.

At BGU, we are proud of students who remain committed to their academic journey even in challenging times!

Our student Hiba , a PhD candidate from Morocco, was recently featured in the Israeli media for her inspiring story of perseverance during the current security situation in Israel.

Like many international students at BGU, Hiba continues her studies while navigating the realities of sirens and security alerts - demonstrating resilience, determination, and a deep commitment to academic inquiry

Hiba’s story reflects the spirit of our international community and the strong support network provided to students through the BGU Welcome Center for International Students and Researchers.
