Céad míle fáilte chuig ár gCéad Bhliain! 💙

Today marked a very special milestone as we welcomed our newest students to Pobalscoil na Tríonóide and they took their first steps into secondary school life.

We hope the years ahead will be filled with new experiences, lasting friendships, plenty of learning and many happy memories. We look forward to seeing each of our First Years find their feet, discover their strengths and become a valued part of our school community.

🇮🇪🇪🇺 From Youghal to Serbia: Danny represents Ireland at the European Youth Parliament

We are delighted to celebrate the achievements of Danny, who recently travelled to Serbia as part of the Irish delegation to the 105th International Session of the European Youth Parliament (EYP) – FUSION 2026.
The European Youth Parliament brings together young people from across Europe to debate some of the most important political, scientific and social challenges facing the continent. Its International Sessions combine teamwork, research, debate and cultural exchange, with young delegates developing policy proposals and defending them through a formal General Assembly.
Representing Ireland, Danny was a member of the ITRE (Industry, Research and Energy) Committee, where he worked with fellow young Europeans to explore one of the most exciting questions facing the future of energy: the commercial development of nuclear fusion reactors.
Through intensive committee work, the group researched and debated the opportunities and challenges associated with fusion energy before collaboratively developing a resolution proposing ways forward. The resolution was subsequently brought before the wider General Assembly, where delegates from across the session debated, challenged and voted on the committee’s proposals.
We are particularly proud to hear that Danny’s committee successfully navigated this demanding process and saw its resolution pass through a large number of votes — an excellent reflection of the teamwork, preparation, communication and ability to reach consensus that EYP seeks to develop in its participants.
The experience was about much more than politics and policy, however. During his time in Serbia, Danny had the opportunity to experience Serbian culture and history, visiting the cities of Niš and Novi Sad, exploring historical landmarks and natural surroundings, and meeting young people from different countries and cultural backgrounds.
As Danny prepares to enter 6th Year we are extremely proud of his achievement and of the commitment, curiosity and confidence he has demonstrated throughout this experience. Comhghairdeas, Danny.

Congratulations to all of our junior students who recently won the U14 Treaty Shield with Youghal Utd at the University of Limerick!

The boys had a great tournament, drawing with the National Cup champions in the group stages and winning the final on penalties. Robert King produced a great save in the shootout and Ryan Duggan scored the winner 🏆
