Our first Sciath na Scol match for Park National School against Kilmagner School in Castlelyons GAA Grounds! πŸ‘

A brilliant game of two very different halves, with the teams finishing within a few points at the final whistle. Our new team made a great impact in the second half, when our players stepped up to lead the team with fantastic determination, resulting in some great goals and points! πŸ’ͺ⚽️

Well done to all the players on a super effort and a great start to our Sciath na Scol campaign! 🌟

A huge thank you to our parents and grandparents for the lifts, encouragement and support. πŸ’š

Our students went full circle by harvesting and saving seeds from our wildflower garden to sow for next year's display! 🐝✨
Saving seeds teaches our pupils about sustainability, plant life cycles, and how we can keep our school environment thriving year after year. πŸŒΎπŸ‘¦πŸ‘§Take a look at our young gardeners hard at work collecting, sorting, and storing this year's harvest! πŸŒΈπŸ‘‡

We had the privilege of visiting Cork County Hall today for the Muintir Na Tire Garden Competition Awards.πŸͺ΄πŸ«›πŸŒ³

Our Senior Room reps got to meet some familiar faces from the locality, as well as County Mayor Cllr Mary Linehan Foley and Lord Mayor Cllr Fergal Dennehy.

What a fun experience to showcase all that we love to do in our school garden and gain a silver medal for our efforts!

Big congrats to the boys and girls for their creativity and eagerness to take part in the competition and to our ever-enthusiastic SNAs who helped to lead the project. GRMA!πŸ’

Today we celebrated a very special milestone as our 6th Class pupils marked their graduation from Park National School.

Surrounded by their families, staff and friends, we gathered to reflect on the wonderful memories, friendships, achievements and experiences that have shaped their journey through primary school. A heartfelt thank you to their class teacher, Ms O'Connor, for her dedication throughout the year.

The celebration was filled with beautiful songs, meaningful prayers, memories, and wishes as we looked ahead to the exciting adventures that await our graduates. We were reminded of the inspiring words from Dr. Seuss' Oh, the Places You'll Go! and the timeless quote from William Butler Yeats: "Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire." Both messages perfectly captured the spirit of the day and the bright futures ahead for our students.

A sincere thank you to everyone who joined us for this special occasion and to all who contributed the delicious baked goods and refreshments that helped make the celebration so enjoyable.

We are incredibly proud of our four 6th Class pupils and wish them every success and opportunity as they begin the next chapter of their educational journey. Congratulations, Class of 2026!

Wishing all your graduates the very best for the exciting road ahead. πŸŽ“βœ¨
