History
Wicklow School of Dance (previously Wicklow School of Ballet) was established in 1980 by Stephanie Murphy, B.Phil (Hons), ARAD, AISTD. In June 2014 the school changed hands, and is now run by Megan Christie. Inspiring students to achieve success in ballet:
Wicklow School of Dance provides a nurturing, positive environment for students of all ages to learn ballet. With a teaching ethos root

ed in positive reinforcement and reflective learning, students gain solid, progression-focused training. This student-centred programme creates the opportunity for dancers to progress through the internationally recognised RAD framework. Students attending an RAD school benefit from teaching accredited at the highest level. The RAD is one of the world’s most influential dance education and training organisations and is recognised internationally for the highest standards of teaching and learning. Following the RAD syllabus and examination structure, all classes are taught by an RAD trained and qualified ballet teacher.

The countdown is on to the Wicklow School of Dance Performance 2027 at the Mermaid Theatre, Bray on 13th & 14th March 2027! 🌟

Every two years our dancers step onto the stage to perform in a professional theatre, creating memories that last a lifetime. From our tiniest dancers taking their very first bow to our senior students showcasing years of dedication, this is a truly special experience for everyone.
