Are you a childminder?

You can get up to €1,000 through the Childminding Development Grant to buy:

🧸 Toys
🍼 Childcare equipment
🚗 Safety equipment
🧮 STEM and art supplies
💻 IT Equipment

The grant is available for all childminders, including unregistered minders and those who will start childminding in 2026.

📅 You can apply from 11 February 2026 until 15 April 2026.

Wicklow County Council hereby gives notice of the temporary closure of the following public roads.

This closure is to facilitate the annual Santa Parade and turning on of the Christmas Lights 2025, brought to you by Wicklow Town & District Chamber in association with Wicklow Municipal District.

🕓 Sunday the 23rd November 2025 from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

• Abbey Street (R-750) to St. Patrick’s Road Junction(L-5601)
• Morton’s Lane(L-5712) to High Street Junction (L-5714)
• New Street (L-5715) to High Street Junction (L-5714)
• Market Square (R750) to Kilmantin Hill (L-1600), Junction)- closed for 10 minutes when the Santa Parade leaves the Gaol.
• Fitzwilliam Square – Traffic flow through Summerhill via Castle Street to South Quay
• Junction of Bridge Street and Fitzwilliam Square
Alternative Routes
• St Patrick’s Road to St. Laurance’s Road to Convent Road
• HGVs to use Marlton Road, Hawkstown Road

Stewards to assist at diversions.

Local and emergency access will be maintained
