Very best of luck to Willow MacIntosh, Luke Purser and Lucy Kilcoyne who have travelled to the university of Warwick to represent Ireland at the European Touch Rugby Championships. Her Sport workshop for young women aged 16–24, taking place at Rathdrum RFC on Friday, 28th August at 7pm. One of the biggest challenges across all sports is the number of girls who stop participating during their teenage years. This workshop is about encouraging and inspiring girls to stay involved in sport and physical activity as they get older.

Importantly, it’s not a rugby-specific event. It’s open to girls involved in Hockey, GAA, football, rugby and other sports, as well as those who may have stepped away from sport or are considering getting involved again.

A massive congratulations to the Official Wicklow GAA Senior football team who clinched the Tailteann Cup today in dramatic fashion. All at East Glendalough are particularly proud of past student Gavin Fogarty who started wing back. Also, a huge congratulations to Wicklow Stalwart and leader Dean Healy who has regularly come to meet our GAA teams and present medals, he has been a great friend and encouragement to GAA in East Glendalough School.
