Our wonderful Coach Jessie led our Acro Dance Coaching Level 1 Diploma course last Saturday in Ballincollig.
Well done to Eve from superstarscork and Megan from for completing the course.
There will be another chance for you to complete the course later in the year, keep an eye on our socials and the IMDC website for more details!!

Anyone who works or interacts with children and/or their families must understand their safeguarding responsibilities. Regardless of your occupation or how frequently interaction takes place, it is essential to know how to monitor the well-being of children, to be able to recognise when maltreatment may be taking place and to take appropriate action.
This Introduction to Safeguarding Children course provides you with the knowledge and skills required to effectively safeguard the children in your care. It explains common types of maltreatment and how to recognise if they are happening, how to respond to a disclosure and how to deal with concerns about a child. A combination of written information, case studies and interactive activities will help you to feel confident in your safeguarding responsibilities. This course is designed for teachers working within the performing arts.

We have been busy behind the scenes during our temporary closure! We have lots of new courses in development! The first new course is inclusion within a performing arts setting and lgbtq+ awareness training! Do you struggle to grasp inclusion policy, are you unsure what is best practice for young people with additional needs! This online workshops gives you all the tools you need to start implementing inclusion in your school or classroom!

Teaching Assistant Certificate Within The Performing Arts
Sunday September 22nd
At Irish Music and Drama College - IMDC we believe Teaching Assistant roles within the Performing Arts are a vital resource for any stage school as well as a wonderful opportunity for a teen student or a Mom to get involved while earning a rate of between €12-€15 ph or in exchange for exam costs.

This One Day course has been specifically designed to teach you the skills required to succeed. The subjects covered include:
- Roles & Responsibilities
- How to lead Warm-Ups
- Drama Games
- Skills & Qualities
- Child Safeguarding - Level 1 (Value €49)
- Communication (Positive handling, language & behaviour management)

This course is 1 Day and runs from 10.30am-5pm - Limited to 20 places
