The Bridge Project, The Mill Community Centre, Celbridge have organised a Parenting Programme for parents of adolescents (11-16 year olds) in the North Kildare Area. The programme will be on Tuesday mornings 10.30 a.m. - 12.30 p.m. starting on the 12th of April and finishing on the 31st May. Kilcock Mens Shed & Kildare and Wicklow Education and Training Board are pleased to offer to members of community and voluntary groups in Kilcock and the surrounding areas:

Occupational First Aid – QQI Level 5

On successful completion of the course participants will be able to:
- Identify the responsibilities of a first aider
- Provide necessary first aid within the workplace
- Deal with emergencies while awaiting the arrival of emergency services
- Implement essential life-saving skills if required
- Master the recovery position
- Recognise Asphyxia and its causes

Assessment includes:
- Skills assessment in Basic Life Saving skills and general First Aid
- A Short Answer Test

Having successfully completed this Occupational First Aid course you will receive:
QQI Level 5 Minor Award in Occupational First Aid 5N1207 – which is worth 5 credits (A short refresher is required every 2 years)

Venue: Scout Hall, Kilcock
Day/Time: Wednesday 9.30am – 4.30pm
Dates: November 18th, 25th and Dec 2nd
Fee €30 (for Certification)

The mentor will work alongside parents from pregnancy to when the child starts playschool. The mentor will visit families in their homes and give support and information on child development and parenting using proven approaches to help children achieve their full potential.
