We had a great day when our suprise visitors the Postman and Post lady came to visit us at Caterpillar to collect the children's letters. We had a few children handing letters to us so as an emerging interest we decided to let the children make letters and post them to their own homes.The children put so much work into their letters. They even brought in bottles and cans to fund for the stamps and envelopes to incorporate our sustainability as well as that we used digital stamps from An Post instead of paper stamps. The Postman and the Post lady were delighted at how good the children were and were amazed with their sustainability awareness, they even gave the children a little suprise by letting them design their own stamps. This is a true example of all Aistear's themes 'Identity and Belonging' 'Exploring and Thinking' 'Communicating' 'Wellbeing' and 'Living and Learning'. Thank you so much to the Postman and Post Lady for coming to visit us. ❤️
