It has been one of those weeks that reminds me why I love what I do and why I feel so lucky to call New Ross my home 🏡
To be nominated to represent Network Ireland Wexford in the Networker of the Year category at the Network Ireland Women in Business Awards is an incredible honour. Networking, for me, has never been about collecting business cards or making sales. It’s about building genuine relationships, supporting one another, and creating a community where everyone has the opportunity to grow 🌸🎈
Last week, I had a very proud moment, not in business, but as a mum. Watching my daughter sing on South East Radio aboard the iconic Dunbrody Famine Ship was a reminder that our greatest achievements are often rooted in family. Family gives us our foundation, our confidence, and the courage to step forward into the world 🌍🥳
As I stood there, I couldn’t help but think about the story of New Ross itself. For centuries, this remarkable town has been built on connection. Once one of Ireland’s busiest medieval ports, New Ross welcomed merchants, travellers, and ideas from across the world. The Dunbrody tells the story of those who left these shores in search of hope, carrying with them resilience, courage, and a deep sense of community. Those stories still echo through our streets today.
That same spirit is alive in our town. It’s found in the people who champion local businesses, who volunteer their time, who support neighbours, who celebrate each other’s successes, and who know that when one of us succeeds, we all benefit.
Networking isn’t just something we do in business, it’s the heartbeat of every thriving community. It’s the conversations over coffee, the introductions that become friendships, the encouragement when someone needs it most, and the belief that together we are stronger.
New Ross may be a small town, but it is bursting with riches, not just in its incredible history, but in its people. And I feel incredibly fortunate to be part of a community that continues to lift each other up every single day.
Thank you to everyone who has supported me on this journey, to my family who are my greatest cheerleaders, and to Network Ireland Wexford for this wonderful nomination. Whatever happens next, I’m already incredibly grateful 🙏🎈☺️
Here’s to the power of family, friendship, networking, and community 🌸🤗🙌
