If something or someone makes you feel like sh*t, you get to say buh-bye 🤌🏼

Three years ago we sold all our stuff and left Canada to travel the world with our 13 and 10 year old.

We officially made Ireland home two years ago this week.

And while that sounds like one big brave decision, the truth is, rebuilding a life is made of SO many small ones.

Finding ways that support who you’re becoming.

Finding people who feel like home.

Finding purpose in the ordinary things that reflect what matters.

Coffee with a new friends you meet serendipitously.

A new library book.

A thrifted treasure.

A walk down tree tunneled roads.

Washing drying on the line.

Murals and history in your new town.

A view we never dreamed would be ours.

It’s not always big or dramatic.
Belonging happens quietly.

One routine.
One conversation.
One open door.
One brave yes.
One moment of realizing, “I think we’re finding our way.”

This is true after moving countries.

And it’s also true after grief, burnout, divorce, identity change, loss, diagnosis, or anything that rearranges who you thought you were.

You don’t have to rebuild your whole life overnight.

You get to start where you are.
Build from what’s in and around you.

Let what works stay.
Let what doesn’t fall away.

And stay open to the life that’s still reaching for you from exactly where you are.

Survival got me here but I want to create from all that I am now.

The wisdom.
The power.
The truth.
The softness.
The fire.
All the parts that remain.

And the parts that are ready to step forward with more safety to be seen and heard.

This is my journey from survival back to Self.

Not pretending the past didn’t happen.

Not cutting off the parts of me that had to do what they had to do to protect me.

But choosing how I get to relate to myself now, and my life, and my future from here.

Because I’m not just here to survive what happened.

I’m here to create from who I had to become and who I want to become now.

For all the midlife perimenopausal women

Express yourself like no one is listening. And let your honestly have you be heard.

🙏 we’ve still got time.

Thank you Glen for changing me in your life and death with messages we need to reclaim our humanity in all its glorious mess 🙏

Stop expecting to have all the answers, or to get it right , or move through this moment as if you’ve done it a hundred times before…

Because you haven’t.

You’re here, in a new moment.

Learning.
Adjusting.
Growing.

Figuring it out from all you are, as you go.

What does it feel like to give yourself this grace?

The pressure you didn’t realize you’ve put on yourself might be the very thing making this season harder than it needs to be.

Take the breathe.
Take the next step.
And the next.

That’s not just enough. That’s everything.
