Stage Quest is a brand new acting and singing school founded by Wexford born actress and singer Aileen Mythen. Wexford audiences might remember Aileen from Eoin Colfer's 'Lords of Love' in the Wexford Opera House and his hilarious play 'Holy Mary', which she performed in and produced with the Arts Centre, Wexford. She has followed in the footsteps of many renowned actors & performers and trained a
t The Gaiety School of Acting (two year full time course) in Dublin. Since then she has worked with numerous Theatre Companies and performed on most of Ireland's main stages including the Olympia, the Gaiety, the National Concert Hall, the Wexford Opera House and most recently the Abbey Theatre. The actress and singer has worked on many different tv series & films, including the award winning 'Niko and the way to the stars II'. As a singer she has performed a myriad of styles including musical theatre, classical, jazz, soul & blues and makes up the other half of Roots/Rock band 'B & The Honeyboy', whose 2nd album, 'Forgotten Books' has recently been receiving a lot of national & international attention. As a teacher she has been much in demand across the country having taught with many stage schools including the Gaiety School of Acting, where she has taught part time for over 10 years. The emphasis on 'Stage Quest' will be to improve children's confidence & skills in working with others while also learning new skills in acting and singing in a fun environment. Aileen is thrilled to share her experience in the professional world and her love of acting and singing with young performers in her native county of Wexford. Wexford every Wednesday evening.
