Wexford Motor Club Set for Return of Newbawn Hillclimb This April!

Wexford Motor Club is delighted to announce the return of its annual Hillclimb event, taking place on the renowned Newbawn Hill on the 25th and 26th of April.

This year’s event will run under the stewardship of Clerk of the Course, Adrian Codd, as competitors take on the challenging 2.36km climb, which is reported to be in excellent condition ahead of the weekend’s action.

The Newbawn FC grounds will once again serve as the event paddock, providing a central hub for competitors and spectators alike. Saturday evening’s prize giving ceremony will be hosted in Foleys Bar, continuing a long-standing tradition associated with the event.

Wexford Motor Club is once again grateful for the outstanding support of the local community in Newbawn, whose continued assistance plays a vital role in the successful running of the Hillclimb.

The club is also proud to welcome back Ignite Training & Consultancy and Cross Philip Engineering as title sponsors for the 2026 event, and extends its sincere thanks for their ongoing and valued support.

The event will form Rounds 5 and 6 of the Irish Hillclimb & Sprint Championship calendar, as well as the concluding rounds of the King Of The Hill Rally Challenge . Adding further excitement to the weekend, competitors from WAMC Welsh Sprint and Hill Climb Championship are set to join the entry list, bringing an international dimension to what promises to be a highly competitive and entertaining event.
