2024, The Year I Healed My Body π
As most of you know, I had Cervical Cancer at 27, and I also live with a hereditary life threatening lung disease called Cystic Fibrosis. I was born with Cystic Fibrosis and currently there is no cure for this disease π«
I've spent approx. 4 weeks a year in hospital the past 5 years, but each year the admissions have gotten easier and more spread out π₯
At the end of 2024, I had my annual review results. Annual Reviews are incredibly thorough, my body is tested in every way you can imagine, and the results are compared to the previous year or two π¬
Last year's results were nothing short of a miracle β¨ I managed to eradicate 2 out of 3 of the bugs that were living in my lungs. I've had 1 of these bugs for over 10 years, it's caused complete havoc as it's a fungal infection and particularly difficult to get rid of. But I have. It's gone. There's no longer a dirty plug of it living in my left upper lung π¦
But that's not even the craziest of it. My CT scan this year compared to my CT scan from 2 years ago shows less scar tissue in my lungs. Scar tissue!! NONE of my medication can remove scar tissue! βοΈ
How has this all happened?
Well my medications have not changed in the past 5 years, if anything I'm on less meds now too.
In short, my entire lifestyle, energy, relationships, mental wellbeing and mindset have all completely improved because of the deep work I've done on myself.
Supports I've leaned on to do this include;
-Meditation
-Counselling
-Breathwork
-Home made meals
-Less caffeine
-Epsom salt baths
-Kinseiology
-Spin Class, Yoga & Weight Lifting
-Forgiveness (to myself & others)
-Journaling
-Energy Healing Modalities
-Gratitude
-Psychology books, documentaries & podcasts
-Better sleep hygiene
-Beach walks
-Mindfulness
-Reflexology
-Changing who I spend my energy on/with
This is a mountain of work and took a mountain of will power, especially on those tougher days, but I'm so delighted that it was all worth it π
Of course, I'm a work in progress and there's much more left to accomplish. But I will get there, one breath, step & day at a time π€
