Tír na nÓg Playschool

Tír na nÓg Playschool CLOSED JUNE 2024. Tír na nÓg Play School opened in September 2000. It is run by Liz Murphy, Phil Croarkin and Fiona Ryan.

The owner/manager is Liz Murphy who together with Phil Croarkin and Fiona Ryan run the preschool service. Liz has a Certificate in Creche Management together with FETAC Level 5 and 6. Phil is Montessori trained and also has FETAC Level 5 and 6 Certificates. Fiona has a Degree in Early Childhood Education. Our mission is to provide a fun, friendly child centered environment for children to grown an

d learn as individuals and to make lots of new friends prior to commencing National School. The type of service we provide is sessional care only. We work according to the local school calendar year and commence daily at 9.00am and finish at 12.00pm. This service is free of charge to children who qualify for the ECCE scheme. We also offer an additional half hour from 12pm to 12.30pm at a cost of €12.50 per week. From September, 2016, we are now pleased to offer an afternoon session which commences daily at 1pm and finishes at 4pm. We had a great first week, welcoming back some children for a second year and also getting to know the new children who have joined us. Let the fun, friendships and adventures begin with lots of memories to be made along the way.

It was fantastic today to see all the children so happy, dressing up, laughing and having lots of fun. A bit of normal life in these strange times. We raised over €300 for Temple Street Children's Hospital too so thank you for your generosity. Please check out our What's App Group for some lovely videos and photographs. We have had a great three weeks since reopening and the children are doing amazing. We would like to thank both the children and their parents for being so understanding and accommodating as we get used to the "new normal". We would also like to welcome our newest member of staff, Lizzie Cullen. We have been enjoying the great outdoors and of course have had great fun indoors too. We are looking forward to the year ahead even with all the extra sanitising/cleaning😊

Congratulations to all who graduated with us last week. It was so lovely to have you all together for one last time. Please check out "our morning group what's app page" for some lovely photographs if you have not already done so. All that is left for us is to wish you all the very best in "big school" and please come and visit us in September.

We look forward to seeing those that are returning, hopefully on Monday 31st August. We will keep you posted regarding same but should you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact us.
