🚛 Congratulations to the learners from WWETB’s Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) Driving – Rigid course who recently achieved their Category C Licence.

Delivered at our Transport and Logistics Training Hub in Dungarvan, the programme combines practical driving skills with industry recognised qualifications, including Driver CPC, First Aid Responder, and forklift, pallet truck and Moffett operator training.

A vision for the future of learning in Wexford. ✨
WWETB was pleased to welcome Secretary General of DFHERIS, Colm O'Reardon, to the site of the proposed Wexford Tertiary Education Campus.

In partnership with SETU, this exciting project will create new opportunities for learners by bringing further and higher education together in one innovative learning environment.

We look forward to working with SETU, DFHERIS, SOLAS and the HEA to make this shared vision a reality.

Marie is proving that determination and a willingness to learn can break barriers. As Ireland's only female plastering apprentice in more than 20 years, she is paving the way for the next generation while building a promising career for herself. Like many apprentices, Marie explored different paths before finding her place in plastering, and with exciting opportunities ahead, the future is looking bright for her and her fellow apprentices at WWETB.

🎨 Well done to everyone at who recently completed a fantastic Wire Sculpture course with the talented Imogen Stafford!

Funded through our Programme, the course gave participants the opportunity to learn new skills, get creative and enjoy great company along the way.

The finished sculptures were incredible, but just as important were the friendships, chats and laughter shared throughout the course.

Great visit to the very talented Corlann Ireland Group based in Tramore, who are currently learning to rap and develop their creative talents through a Reach-funded education programme. 🎤
One of the group members has written some truly inspiring lyrics, and the group is now rehearsing for an upcoming performance.
These are a very talented group of young men, and it was fantastic to see their enthusiasm, creativity, and confidence shine through.

We are officially joining their fan club and can't wait to see them perform! 👏🌟

For Dylan, the Personal Trainer course at Wexford College of Further Education & Training has put him on the right path toward achieving his goals and building skills he didn’t even realise he’d need along the way.

With a balance of theory and hands-on learning, a brand new gym, and a supportive environment, he’s well on his way to a career in fitness 💪

A great example of how phase 2 plastering apprentices WWETB further enhanced their skills through industry led demonstrations, complementing the strong foundation provided by their instructors, Tom & Alan.

This initiative was led by Alan O'Leary, Inspection & Training Specialist with the KRPO team Kilsaran

The training included the installation of external wall insulation, finished with a CT87 basecoat, CT325 reinforcing mesh, and a CT174 silicone topcoat. The machine application of a newly developed OCR render generated strong interest among apprentices, with finishes demonstrated using both sponge and nap techniques.

The apprentices showed great engagement in developing new skills, well done to them all. In August, they will return to industry, putting these skills into practice.
