🌟 Day 2 of First Year Induction! 🌟

As part of their transition to secondary school induction programme, our new First Years took part in ‘The First Chapter’; a guidance workshop all about starting this new adventure together. From exploring what makes a good friendship, to sharing how they’re feeling about the year ahead (sunny, cloudy, or a little stormy; all feelings welcome! ☀️☁️⛈️), it was a brilliant morning of connection, reflection and fun. Huge thanks to our senior CARA students and staff team who helped make the day so special. Here’s to a wonderful year ahead!

Our new students had a great first day at Coláiste Bríde, supported by our Cara Leaders as they settled into their new surroundings.
With the school to themselves, they had a great opportunity to explore the building and become familiar with their new school before the full student body returns next week.

The polytunnel is bursting with beautiful, homegrown tomatoes, while our apple tree is bending under the weight of an incredible crop of apples. 🍅🍎

🌟 We are absolutely delighted that the dedication and determination of our Student Council has helped make the Templeshannon community a safer place.

We are incredibly proud that their commitment played a part in securing approval for the new pedestrian crossing. 👏🚸💙

A sincere thank you to Senator Cathal Byrne and Cllr Trish Byrne for taking the time to meet with our students and for their continued support throughout the campaign. We also extend our thanks to Pat Kehoe for first raising this important issue in 2025 and helping to get the process underway.

🚸Student Council Success! 🚸
We’re delighted to share that funding has been approved for the pedestrian crossing at Youth Reach/Spring Valley.
Senator Cathal Byrne acknowledged the important role our Student Council played in keeping this project moving forward through engagement with engineers and advocating for the needs of the wider community.
👏 Special thanks to Cllr Trish Byrne for her work on the project.
A fantastic achievement and a reminder that young people can make a real impact!
