CBS Primary Wexford

CBS Primary Wexford CBS Primary Wexford is a co-educational primary school with the Edmund Rice Trust. CBS Primary School, Wexford is part of the Edmund Rice School Trust Network.

Originally for boys only, the school has been co-educational since 2014 and caters for all classes from Junior Infants to Sixth Class. The school is located in the heart of Wexford Town and the majority of the pupils are drawn from the greater urban area. Currently there are over 200 pupils on roll with a diverse mix of cultures and nationalities. At present , refurbishment works are taking place

in the school. Our new gym has been in use since September 2016 and a complete modernisation and upgrading of the entire structure is to be completed within the next two years, ensuring that the school is adequately equipped to meet the needs, challenges and teaching methodologies of the 21st century.

On Tuesday we had our last senior assembly where we were grateful for the huge variety of activities available in our school and for the staff who give so freely of their time to promote sport, chess and music within CBS ! Children from each class were recognised for their sporting enthusiasm and engagement . The assembly began with prayers from some of our sixth class pupils and the presentation of a cheque to Rare Warriors from our Student Council after our very successful cake sale. 🎂

What a week for CBS sporting achievements!

Our mixed cricket team played on Thursday in the beautiful surroundings of the Wexford Cricket Club and emerged victorious to lift the cup!! 🏏 🏆 💜 💛 🏏 Their smiles said it all!! Well done to all the children involved and to their class teachers Mr Murphy and Ms Coady. A special thank you to Herbie and the coaches for their regular coaching of the different classes in the school and to Mr Cummings for organising the sessions.
