Letterfrack School of Music Barbara Dunne and Damian Morrissey opened the Leenane School of Music in 2022 Barbara Dunne and Damian Morrissey opened the Leenane School of Music in 2022.

Both accomplished musicians in their own fields, the couple spend the majority of their time teaching. Barbara has been a performing artist and composer for many years. She studied music to Masters level at Maynooth University and holds an LTCL in performance from Trinity College London. She has won many competitions and awards for both her playing and composing. Some of her work has been publishe

d by the Royal Irish Academy. Damian spent 35yrs In the Army No. 1 Band and held principal chair on Clarinet, Alto Saxophone and Bass Clarinet. He also holds an LTCL in performance from Trinity College London and was director of Templeogue College Concert Band for many years. Together the couple have performed across the US as a duo and also as part of a 16 piece big band where they originally met. They have recorded an album of irish melodies called Classic Irish Melodies. They play a combination of classical and jazz.
