🌟 Aisling Brennan, a very talented first year student, wrote this poem as an assignment for Ms. Kinsella over Easter. 🌟
Well done, Aisling, beautiful words.
*Underneath the rainbows*
The sun shines through the window
But somehow it feels cold
The shivers keep on coming
Never put on hold
Underneath the rainbows
Are panes of shattered glass
Bleeding tears of colour
Down onto the grass
Flowers blowing quietly
Unnoticed and unloved
Disappear into the wind
Up to the clouds above
Beauty all around us
Since the birth of time
But it takes this total darkness
To discover our crime
When all the gold and diamonds
Make way for disease
We realise what we always had
Is the only thing we need
