Chefs of the future take centre stage as our Mini Master Chefs cook up their best dishes, all under the watchful eye of Michelin-starred judge Tom Phelan.

👦 Tomás Beagáin (12) – dedicated to developing recipes for his local market, with a flair for coffee cake & Biscoff treats.

👦 Matthias Hynes (10) – passionate about scouts, cars & cooking, with a love for pasta and cookies.

The Waterford Harvest Festival have launched an exciting new event a Mini Master Chef live cook-off, partnered with ElectroCity.

The winner will receive a fantastic Kenwood stand mixer, sponsored by ElectroCity.

The competition is open to children aged 12 and under. To enter, a parent simply needs to send us a message on Instagram with their child’s favourite recipe and a little bit about their budding chef. From those entries, we’ll select two participants to take part in a live cook-off on Sunday, September 7th, in John Roberts Square.

The cook-off will be judged by Michelin star pastry chef Tom Phelan, from the Lady Helen at Mount Juliet. With a one-hour timeframe, we strongly recommend choosing something simple and enjoyable cookies, cakes, meringues, or other sweet treats work perfectly. They’re fun, stress-free, and guarantee that the children can relax and enjoy a truly creative experience on stage.

TOY SHOW SPECIAL - as part of our Christmas workshops, we are running a special class on Friday 24th November for all those who want to get ready for the Toy Show. Come and decorate your own Christmas Cupcakes, Gingerbread Men and Belgian Hot Chocolate Bomb. All in a seasonal Christmas Presentation Box. 2 Sessions
3.45pm to 5.15pm and 5.45pm to 7.15pm. Cost: €25. Suitable for ages 5+. We are based in Ballygunner.
