Jellytots Pre-school and Afterschool Care

This is the Official Jellytots Pre-school and Afterschool Club @ your local village community centre in Ballyduff adjacent to the National School.

AS SEEN ON CHILDCARE.IE Things you should know about our preschool service. My name is Deirdre I am the manager and have 15 years experience working with children. Here at Jellytots we offer your child/children the very best of care and education. Our staff have a passion for working with young children and are all fully qualified and Garda vetted. This is a learning through play setting. We use guidelines from both SIOLTA and AISTER the early childhood curriculum. We have ECCE and CETS government schemes in operation so free places are on offer. This is a homely setting and Family are very important to us so parents can be closely involved in how there child learns and are most welcome in this service, we have an open door policy. As members of early childhood Ireland we take our work very seriously and your child will learn through our commitment.. Social and emotional development, speech and language development, intellectual development and physical development and we do this all through playing as this is the childs work. Our service is open from 8am for early drop off and breakfast club, and up until 5:00 pm for CETS and homework club/after school care 5 days a week. We cater for two and a half year olds right up to 12 years of age. Our setting is run from the local community centre in the heart of the village of Ballyduff. The community centre has underwent a complete redevelopment and we have a beautiful new and bright spacious room to the front of the new building. The local national school is directly across the road from us which makes it very handy for parents with more than one child. We also do lots of arts and crafts work with both pre-school and afterschool. During the holiday breaks we also run Art and Craft Camps with plenty games and fun activities. Keep an eye on here for any updates on the pre-school, afterschool and camps. *** Watch this space for updates on the New Community Centre Official Opening!!!*** For any queries on any of the above please don't hesitate to contact us. 085-1048367 or by email: [email protected]

Reducing the risk of harmfull bugs and germs like e_coli and flu. Trying our best here to keep it green. If any parent would like to contribute a pack of face clothes to add to our lot it will further reduce the wash down to 2 washes per week.

Our bunch of little monsters today .... Aistear in action . Set them free with a floor full of boxes and scissors glue and other sticky stuff ! Oh the possibilities. Great fun ....

So the children were busy last week talking about busses ! And some of th witnessed a bus on its side in the snow . We watched them set up a bus with chairs and boxes so we thought let's carry on the conversation and make a. Cardboard bus each and so they did .... And that is the story behind the bus.

[01/31/19]   Be very careful on roads in morning guys please be safe. Dee

Hi all . A few pics from Jan . Enjoy weekend see you all Monday. They are all well settled back. Dee

[01/14/19]   Hi all just a reminder to let you know that there is a very bad cold and flu about and we are encouraging children to use tissues provided for sneezing and coughing and we need you to reinforce this practice to stop the spread. I know how hard it is but we don't want it getting out of hand. Take care and therers a few weeks of this unhealthy season to come. We will do our best to overcome this horrible time for everyone. Best wishes Deirdre and Co.

[01/06/19]   Dear parents as we are ready for the new year ahead I would ask a very small favour of you all! Please do not give your child any single use plastic bottles ! The children's water and juice bottles are usually one use only and if you look at the bottom of bottles they have a number on . We can give cups of water ... We want to let the children know they are now banned as are plastic straws. We can all do our bit. See you all tomorrow. Thank you Deirdre

[01/03/19]   Hi all and a happy New year . All back to normal and back to school on Monday. Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. Deirdre

[12/22/18]   Thank you all so very much for the very generous gifts and cards ... Overwhelming is the word you are all so very kind. I would do my job for free I love working with all the children who come our way it's such a pity that red tape is how it is today. It takes away from the play and experience of getting to know the little ones individually but I and Ali and Jenny are determined to make the time to get them all ready for the years ahead in next part of journey . Lots of work ahead in Jan xx. Happy Christmas to all of you lovely parents and your children . X###x See you all in 2019 😘😘😘😘

All set for the children's day performance 😘😘😘😘 Happy Christmas to all . They are a credit to you . X### so excited .

So it's nearly here and just a quick reminder as we get cosy please think of the less fortunate people this season... We here at jellytots along with you and your children's help are gathering goods for Helping Hand Waterford . We like to pay it forward in any small way to hopefully make a little difference to our community .... We believe it is a good learning experience for our children and giving a little can help. A big box has been put in the entrance for non perishable goods and it will be collected on the 20th of December by helping hand and any item is greatly appreciated. Please share to spread the good will. Thanking you . Deirdre Ali, and Jenny
