Well done to our creative 4th years students who collaborated together to create this video of thanks to our frontline workers as part of the Generation Apprenticeship Competition. It was to say thank you the frontline staff and give them an "A grade" for all the hard work which they've been doing for our country!! The competition officials gave the girls this extra project as a way to help them gain extra publicity in addition to their submitted physical creation for the National Final!!

Well done girls! We’re so delighted to see you utilising your Music, Art and I.T. Skills 💖

For any of our very talented students that are looking to promote themselves! 🎼 🎶

We’re continuing with our series on Facebook supporting and promoting musical talent from across Waterford city and county. If you're a solo artist, band, dancer or have a talent we need to see, send a downloadable, landscape video to [email protected].

Next up this evening is well known musician Liam Merriman performing an acoustic version of The Spinning Wheel from his album Airs & Places 🎶

Music Generation

This EPIC virtual performance is something very special...

In light of the new national public health measures 52 young harpers together with their 4 musician-mentors have joined forces to form a virtual Music Generation Harp Collective.

The Collective, from Music Generation Harp Ensembles in Music Generation Laois, Music Generation Louth & Music Generation Mayo have released this video performance dedicated to front-line workers and all the young people who are following guidelines and staying at home to help stop the spread of COVID-19.

Together they play 'Elizabeth Kelly's Favourite', arranged by Gráinne Hambly and William Jackson. Video editing by Siobhán Buckley.

The three groups, all previously scheduled to travel to the World Harp Congress - Official Cardiff (which has now been postponed until 2021), were determined to keep up momentum - this is their way to keep playing and sharing music with friends, family and the public from home.

Thanks to tutors Siobhán Buckley (Laois), Deirdre Ní Bhuachalla (Louth), Gráinne Hambly and William Jackson (Mayo) for supporting the young people to make this happen.

[04/03/20]   Happy Easter 🐣

Hello All,

I would like to thank everyone for all of their help, support and patience during what has been difficult circumstances for everybody over the past 3 weeks.

This is new territory for us all and we will be constantly refining what we are doing to the best of our ability to provide the very best support for our students at St. Paul’s. We will keep reviewing each week as things happen and want to be a constant in everybody’s lifes at a time of such upheaval.

There is no perfect formula for working in these circumstances but I would sincerely like to take this opportunity to thank all staff, students and parents for doing their utmost to make the most of the situation we find ourselves in. We will continually strive to improve further and further with everyone’s help and feedback.

More importantly, I hope you and your loved ones are safe and in good health and if we need to know about any particular struggles with health or whatever please inform me [email protected]. We are still here for students over the Easter break, so feel free to check in with us at any stage.

Enjoy the rest and best wishes to all.
