Last Friday the St. Paul’s U17 soccer team put up a thrilling fight against the Abbey Community College. After a slow start by St. Paul’s in the first half the team showed great character to bring the score to 4-4 in normal time. There were stunning individual goals from Dylan Butler (2) along with Dylan Rowe Brannigan and Dylan Chai scoring with the last kick of the game. After no goals in extra time the match went to penalties. After some fantastic efforts we were unfortunate to lose after the 7th round of penalties in sudden death. Hard luck to all involved.

🏫 Opening school service 🏫

Today we marked the spiritual beginning of our school year with an ecumenical prayer service. The theme of the service: ‘we can do it’ inspired us to follow our dreams, achieve them and don’t listen to the negative commentary. Our school choir and musicians enhanced the uplifting positivity in the parable readings and prayers of hope for the coming year. The choir sang ‘True Colours’, ‘A Million Dreams’ and ‘The Champion’. Thank you to our religion department: Ms. Whelan, Ms. Power, Ms. Cullen and our music department: Ms. Minchin, Ms. Larkin for organising such a successful student led service.
