Access IT CLG formally the Computer Access Co-operative was established in 1997 through an identified need in the Ballybeg Community for training in Information Technology. With the support of the Ballybeg Community Development Project, Local Volunteers, Waterford Regional Youth Services and the Department of Social Community and Family Affairs a working group of local people established a small c

omputer room with 10 personal computers in the Parish Centre, which was opened to the public in late 1997. The Voluntary Working group developed a training manual and delivered an Introductory and Advanced course in computers to small groups of local people on a voluntary basis. The group quickly identified the need for accreditation systems, and in 2000 with the aid of funding from the Ireland Funds became approved by the ECDL (European Computer Drivers Licence) as an accredited Training and Test Centre.

💻 22-Week ICDL Course – New Intake Every 6–8 Weeks!
Looking to build your digital skills, improve your employment prospects, or gain a recognised professional qualification?
Access I.T. CLG, a not-for-profit social enterprise and charity based in Ballybeg, Waterford, is now accepting referrals for our upcoming International Certification in Digital Literacy (ICDL) taught course.
📅 Friday mornings
⏰ 9.30am–12.30pm
📆 22 weeks – one morning per week
📍 Access I.T. CLG, The Campus, Ballybeg, Waterford
The course provides a fully supported, community-focused learning environment, allowing learners to progress at their own pace while developing practical digital skills for today's workplace.
💶 TSG Funding Accepted
We are fully registered to accept Training Support Grant (TSG) funding and regularly assist clients with completing their TSG applications. We can provide the official course quotation required for the application.
This is a great opportunity for jobseekers, scheme participants and anyone looking to upskill with an accredited digital qualification.
