Mini Musos

Mini Musos Mini Musos is a music class for young children from 6 months - 7 years. It aims to stimulate 5 areas

Children learn and grow developmentally in a stimulating environment. Mini Musos provides the basis to promote this development by creating a fun and safe environment for the children to explore and discover new things in the comfort of having their primary carer by their side. The programme encourages the parent and child to interact through music and movement during the class. This promotes a u

nique bond between the parent and child as all activities and songs can be easily integrated into the childs daily routine in the home. The programme aims to stimulate the 5 main areas of development in children:

Physical Intellectual Language Emotional Social

Through the use of repetition, colours, sounds, percussion, music and movement child development will be stimulated whilst you and your child are having fun!

For the day that in it..
Happy Halmark Love Day.

My amazing Music Makers really embraced all the love songs, the blowing of coloured kisses, the big hugs, the sharing of my bug purple felt heart, celebration of love through song ,dance and creative imagination.

We only sang this 3 times today a difficult enough song for little hands, fine motor skills and concertration required . But by the 3rd repeat they not only aced the finger work and making their heart they were all singing along too.. Hugs were also freely received .

Big LOVE and thanks to all the families (mums, dads, nans and grandads) who not only came along but who sang and danced and got into the spirit too.

What happens wjen we sing (loving) songs together:

💗 Oxytocin (the bonding hormone) is released, strengthening connection between you and your child

😊 It creates feelings of joy, ease and emotional warmth

🫶 It builds a deep sense of safety and security, helping little nervous systems settle and feel held

Your voice is your child’s first home — and love sung is love felt 💕

New Year, New Format
- Same Mini Musos Magic ✨

After a very uncertain 2025 and a long period of injury, I’ve had to pause, reflect, and make a few decisions moving forward.

After 15 beautiful years of weekly Mini Musos, I’m excited to share a new monthly themed Mini Musos class, running for the next while in my hometown of Tramore.

These sessions still hold everything you and your little ones love —
🎶 live singing
🎧 well-loved recorded classics
🥁 hands-on percussion
🌈 parachutes & peekaboo scarves
🫧 magical bubbles to watch and wonder

Each class is fun, interactive and engaging for babies, toddlers and preschoolers, while being gently structured to support your child’s natural development.

Every session is thoughtfully created with your child’s early years in mind, offering a joyful space to connect, explore, and simply be together through music.

Music is more than just fun — it plays a powerful role in early childhood development:

• Supports language & communication skills through rhythm, repetition and song
• Encourages movement, coordination & body awareness
• Helps develop listening, focus and memory
• Builds social connection & confidence in a gentle group setting
• Regulates emotions and supports the nervous system
• Strengthens the parent–child bond through shared experience

Most importantly, it creates joyful moments of presence — something both children and parents deeply need.

Happy Halloween!

This 3 little witches rhyme got my lil toddlers not only tuning into pitch, sequencing and accessing their singing voice but..... 🧙‍♀️🪄🧹
The “Three Little Witches” finger play isn’t just cute — it’s a multi-sensory learning experience. It blends movement, music, language, and imagination, helping toddlers strengthen body awareness, communication, and emotional confidence through joyful play.

Helped with:

1.Fine Motor Skills & Coordination

Using fingers to “fly,” “slide,” and “count” helps strengthen small muscles in the hands and fingers — essential for writing, dressing, and self-care.

Crossing midline (moving one hand across the body) during the gestures supports brain integration and coordination.

2. Language & Literacy Development

Repetition of rhythm and rhyme enhances phonemic awareness, a key pre-reading skill.

Counting and sequencing words (one, two, three) build early numeracy and language rhythm.

3. Social & Emotional Growth

Acting out the song with others encourages group participation, turn-taking, and emotional expression through pretend play.

4. Cognitive Development

Remembering the lyrics and matching them to motions enhances memory, sequencing, and attention.

5. Sensory & Rhythmic Awareness

The steady beat supports auditory discrimination and rhythmic timing.

Movement paired with song helps children integrate sensory input — vital for focus and learning readiness.

"Do you think my baby is too young to start a music class"
is something im asked a lot before sign ups....

Babies Respond So Well to Music & Movement even before they can crawl, walk, or talk, babies are wired for rhythm, sound, and movement. From the moment they’re born — and even in the womb — they’re absorbing vibrations, tones, and the soothing rhythms of voice and heartbeat.

💞 Connection through sound:
Music is one of the first ways babies connect with their world. The human voice, especially a caregiver’s, activates feelings of safety and love. Singing helps babies feel held and nurtured, forming emotional bonds long before words can.

🎶 Brain and language development:
Rhythm and melody stimulate both sides of the brain, laying the foundation for speech, listening, and memory. When babies hear repetition in songs, their brains begin to map patterns — the early building blocks of language.

💃 Movement before mobility:
Gentle rocking, swaying, bouncing, and clapping help babies develop body awareness, balance, and coordination. These movements support their vestibular system (the body’s sense of balance), which is crucial for crawling and walking later on.

🌈 Emotional regulation:
Music helps soothe and regulate a baby’s nervous system. Familiar songs and predictable rhythms bring calm and reassurance, helping babies learn to feel safe and settled in their bodies.

🪶 Joy, curiosity, and play:
Music and movement spark joy! Not just for baby but for their carer too!! Babies naturally respond to rhythm with smiles, coos, and wiggles — it’s their way of saying “I’m part of this world.” Playful sensory experiences like these nurture curiosity, confidence, and creativity.

Our weekly music classes offer the right balance of fun & learning, supported and independent play and interactions.

And the adults love it too 🎶🎵🎶
