These are some pictures of my hives in curaghmore estate, this apiary is mainly used for honey production although some queen rearing goes on here too.

The first picture here is of my main apiary on seskin hill. This apiary does the bulk of the work by housing most if my queen rearing hives and honey producing hives, I also have what we call a nursery here which is used to look after the young queens that are not yet mated and also to overwinter nucleus hives. The second picture here is an example of nucleus hives, these are bout have the size of a full brood hive and are used for swarm control and mating queens.

Some photos of the previous beekeeping year, not a very good year for beekeeping, honey production was way down, but be plough on and start preparing for next year with optimism

Got all the old wax cut out today, ready for washing tomorrow and then re-waxing, only for kim I would have been at it for a week. Great start to the year, all plans are coming together.

Collecting swarms galore, thankfully none of them came from my hives so some poor beekeeper in the area is loosing all there bees, collected about 5 in the last 2 week's
