Lego Cubs Cavan

😂 Things kids have asked me during LEGO class…🧱🤣

Kids really do ask the BEST questions! There’s never a dull moment at LEGO Cubs! 😂

💬 Which one made you laugh the most?

🚀 LEGO + GRAVITY = LET’S GET BUILDING!🧱⬇️

This week at LEGO Cubs we’re exploring GRAVITY through building, experimenting and a little bit of engineering! 🔧

From our LEGO zip lineto using fishing line to create the illusion of floating LEGO, the children get to see how gravity affects movement, balance and suspension. 🎢🧱

🎅 Christmas tip for the LEGO enthusiast: add a roll of fishing line to your Santa list! It’s a simple, inexpensive addition to a LEGO collection that can open up loads of creative building possibilities. 🎁🧱

💡 Build it. Test it. Change it. Try again!

Because the best way to learn how things work is to build them and find out!🙌

How did our LEGO get this dirty?! 😂🙈 Ask my 2-year-old… 🤣

We’re focusing on DUPLO this week, and whilst I’m a massive fan, it does tend to be the perfect size for dirty to find a home. So I thought I’d share this little cleaning hack! A cotton bud is perfect for getting into those big studs and giving them a quick clean. 🧼✨

Clean bricks = happy building! 🧱💛

Think DUPLO is just for little kids? Think again! 👀🧱

Give older kids a challenge — like combining DUPLO with magnetic tiles to create a working ball run — and suddenly, DUPLO becomes a whole new building experience! 🧲⚽️

That’s exactly what we’ll be exploring in this week’s LEGO Classes; build, test, problem-solve and improve as we create our own ball runs using DUPLO and magnetic tiles.

Because it’s not always about what you build with…
it’s about the challenge you give them!💡

🚀 **THIS WEEK AT LEGO CUBS…** 🧱⚙️

Something is moving… 👀

This week, we’re becoming **LEGO Engineers** and exploring the challenge:

⚙️ ENGINEERING: MAKE IT MOVE!

Can you spot the lift, swing and fidget? 🤔
But how do they work… and could you build your own?

🧠 Think.
🧱 Build.
⚙️ Make it move.
